What Skiers Say About Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain attracts a wide range of visitors from beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers highlighting it as the largest and most accessible resort in Southern Ontario, particularly for those travelling from Toronto and the GTA. The village at the base receives consistent praise for its atmosphere, dining options, and additional activities beyond skiing. Reviewers repeatedly mention that weekdays offer a much better experience than weekends, when lift queues become significantly longer and crowds impact enjoyment. Snow conditions are variable, with artificial snowmaking maintaining coverage but reviewers frequently noting icy patches and limited natural powder. Pricing is a common criticism, with many users stating lift tickets, food, and accommodation are expensive relative to what the resort offers compared to larger destinations.

I learned to ski on this hill, and after returning 10 years later it is still a great place to stay and ski despite the small vertical.

Always a great time at blue, highly recommend for anyone local to try! Parking can get pretty crazy at times but everything else is great. The village is a god atmosphere, staff will answer any questions you have and are helpful, and there are plenty of options for all kinds of riding levels.

Blue Mountain was my first spot. The experiance you have walking through the village towards their runs is a vivid memory filled with excitement. Plenty of amazing runs that cater to all audiences and skill levels! The people working are usually all very friendly and welcoming, Can't go wrong having your ski/snowboard trip here with the family, friends, or significant other!

I am a season pass holder and it is worth the 2hr drive. There are hills closer but dont compare to the variety that Blue has. Night skiing during the week and Sundays are not overly busy. Overall it is a great hill for the value

Blue mountain is the most well-know resort in Ontario. It is located on a lengthy hill called the Blue Mountain. It is almost full of snow during the season, due to the weather condition of the location which gets a good amount of snow during the season. Other than that, there is also snow machines working during the season as well. You wont see much of a slope on the e resort since it is a hill, but it still does the work. As someone who have skied on higher mountains like Whistler and wild mountains of middle east, it was a below average experience, but in general, is does the work and youll get anything you need from a ski resorts, except wild slopes. On a scale from 1 to 10 lll give it a 6/10.

I really like blue Mountain, it has a lot of runs, with very different feels to each one. The room I stayed in was really nice, it had a tv, large bed, pull out couch, bathroom, and a small but decent sized kitchen. I found it quite easy to find places to eat, as there are a bit of restaurants around the village area. There are a lot of stores, if you want to buy a souvenir, or even buy ski/snowboard equipment. Overall, I really liked my experience at blue mountain, and recommend for people of every skill. The only thing that I didnt like about it was how there was so much walking. To get to different runs, there is a lot of walking, and most of the time it takes forever waiting for a shuttle. That is my only problem with it.
My overall rating is a 8/10.

Icy due to ice coast conditions. No powder experience. They groom well. New artificial snow guns and lifts this year. Well maintained. Most popular in Ontario. Small compared to the big mountains. Bit best in Ontario.

Great place for snowboarding and year-round activities. Good snow making and tree runs. Nice scenery, well maintained facilities, and plenty of dining options. Can get busy during peak times, and prices in the village can be steep.

Every time I've been to blue I've had a blast. The runs are nice and wide with lots of room for everyone and there are plenty of side hits to get air off of.

Early-bird 5x7 pass makes midweek skiing on quieter hills a great deal. Ikon passes also accepted. Wide range of steepness and many high-speed chairs. Can be busy on weekends with newbie skiers on green runs. A great place for learners with lots of lessons and rentals available.

The resort offers alot , the parking is well organized to start. The amenities that come around the resort are amazing.

Great eats ,with multiple different restaurants in the village they also have a bunch of differentshops to get more gear , they even have a spa if your looking for relaxation.

The lodging is of all different types which is nice variety of what you and others can afford

The hill itself have multiple different classes of runs and terrain parks , from beginners to a couple double diamond tree runs , they have 4 different lifts that are all timely, updated pass scanning for quick access to the lifts .

They event hold events if you'd like to challenge yourself.

It's not to far away from the bigger cities which is nice , even if you are further away it's a beautiful drive

Overall I give the resort a 7.9/10 , reminds me of a mini whistler and it's village

Blue Mountain Resort is a decent getaway spot, but it left me with mixed feelings, which is why I gave it a 3-star review. The location is beautiful, and the surrounding views of the mountains nice but far to be breathtaking. The variety of activities available, like skiing, hiking, and the zip-lining options are decent and caters to different preferences, but the execution left something to be desired. For instance, while the skiing trails were well-maintained, the wait times for the lifts were far too long, cutting into the actual time spent on the slopes. The accommodations were comfortable but not exceptional, and the cleanliness was hit or missour room had a great view but needed more attention to detail, like properly vacuuming the carpets or restocking toiletries. The dining experience was similarly underwhelming. While there were multiple options, the food quality didnt justify the high prices, and the service, although friendly, felt a bit disorganized during peak hours. On the plus side, the staff was polite and tried to address concerns promptly, but overall, the resort seemed a bit overwhelmed during our stay. For the price, I expected more consistency and a smoother experience. Its a good place to visit if youre in the area, but it falls short of being a must-return destination.

The resort overall is fairly good, main issues are long lift lines due to slow or broken lifts and many runs are closed all season. However, when all is open the experience is great, night skiing is done well and most of the lodging is very nice and accessible. The village is also well done and has many options to provide for a full days worth of activity
