What Skiers Say About Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb attracts skiers and snowboarders across all ability levels, from beginners to experts. Reviewers consistently praise the massive skiable terrain across two mountains, the variety of runs including off-piste and tree skiing, and the efficient lift system connecting Whistler and Blackcomb via the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Snow conditions are frequently mentioned as variable, with several users noting rain at lower elevations, icy patches, and inconsistent coverage depending on the season. The resort is repeatedly described as expensive, with high costs for lift tickets, accommodation, food, and dining both on and off the mountain. Lift queues, particularly on weekends and peak times, are a common complaint, with waits of 20-40 minutes reported at busy periods.

I prefer ski towns to ski resorts and Whistler is definitely a resort. Someone called it the Apple of ski resorts. I couldn't think of a better description. It's like Disneyland, you should once just to see but there way better ski areas out there.

One of my all time favorite resorts, super crowded with tourists and people from lower mainland on pow days, but the mountain is so big if you know where to look there is always stashes to be found! Lift accessed backcountry is probably the best part of the resort experience, spend a day out in the backcountry to cruise back into the village on groomers for Apres

It is one of the best ski resort for a reason! Epic terrain, massive mountains, good mixes of different types of runs. The only problem is since it is a tourist destination everything is VERY VERY VERY expensive.

Theres always good places to ski at whistler, no matter the time of year in the season, and I learnt to ski through the whistler blackcomb whistler kids scheme and it always brought great memories. Now whenever I go there its a highlight. The only downside to it is how overpriced it all is.

Great ski resort for anyone of any ability. Ski school for any age is legendary. Options for dining down the mountain are endless. On mountain dining is average and expensive and crowded during peak times. Great to be able to ski 2 mountains effortlessly in a day.

This was one of the best resorts I have been to and I have been to many in Europe, the runs on these mountains are so quiet and not super busy (except Saturday would become busy) the village itself was very good with plenty of food places to eat and loads of shops to look around! We stayed at the Listel hotel which was also a very nice hotel to stay at and the location was close to two main gondolas which took you up with whistler and blackcomb! I would definitely ski in this resort again!

Whistler is a great resort in terms of terrain. The quality of the resort business has decreased significantly since Vail corporation purchased the mountain. Nonetheless, there are unreal runs for any level, a very accessible backcountry, and a good amount of snowfall later in the season.

Whistler is a fantastic place if you want to ski powder, trees or moguls. There is all in abundance and for the adventurous is a incredible experience. The groomers are good however can be quite busy and turn into moguls later in the day. The snow parks are insane, there is so much variety and they are frequently changed to create new lines and features. Compared to European apres it isn't as good as it is at the base of the mountain but the night life is still amazing with lots of choices. For families or adventurous skiers this place has everything you could ask for. The only issue is the lifts in the morning especially on a powder day there will be massive queues with large wait times. Worth getting up early to beat the queue. There are many good places to eat either in the various hotels, earls, or the Irish bar. The only other downside is it can be very cold so make sure to take layers.

Whistler is an amazing resort. Being, I believe, the largest in North America means it has so much to offer. Especially for a European skier like me, the change in scenery, slopes and ski culture is amazing. Despite only being located on two mountains, the slopes are absolutely mega. Both whistler mountain and blackcombe mountain offer anything anyone would need. Both have snowparks for all levels, and some of the most exciting backcountry and off piste skiing there is to offer. The snow quality in Canada is unlike any youll find in the alps. The thickness of the snow paired with the seemingly endlessly wide slope makes for a mind blowing skiing experience. The bars located at the bottom of the slope add to your end of day experience. Both longhorns and Blacks are the two youll first see but the village extends far back enough to allow for other great bars and restaurants. If youve never skied outside of Europe before, whistler has to be the place to go.

Hills were powdery and smooth the day of the ski. Terrain park boxes were a bit icey but jumps were good.

The skiing at WB is almost unrivaled, whilst not as big as European resorts, it more than makes up for it with the variety of terrain. From hidden powder lines to insane drops, WB has everything and anything the expert skier/snowboarder can dream of. This unfortunately means that everyone wants to go there, on the weekends the lift lines are almost not worth it, particularly on a powder day.

Best ski resort Ive been. Big downside is that is super crowded on weekends and holidays, for $300 a day, maybe stay on local Vancouver mountains, youll have a better time. However if you go off season or on a weekday you wont have the legs to explore it all, amazing for any rider experience.

Its whistler - its super busy. Terrain is best in class with cliffs, tree runs and powder fields which are easily accessible. Apres is not comparable to European (on mountain food is average at best and no on mountain apres) but there are lots of evening bars

Whistler is a great mountain Ive lived there for 4 years however the costs keep going up but they dont serve a purpose in the increase nothing has gotten better the lines and amount of people on a daily basis are ridiculous and its not worth going anymore for everything to become tracked out in about and hour of opening unless your really dedicated to go looking for good areas I just want to be able to enjoy my day without having to leave resort bounds to find some quiet slopes.
