What Skiers Say About Revelstoke

Revelstoke attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders seeking deep powder and challenging terrain. Users consistently highlight exceptional tree skiing, long vertical runs, and frequent snowfall that creates excellent off-piste conditions. The resort is praised for minimal lift queues outside peak periods, though gondola waits can exceed 30-40 minutes after fresh snowfall on weekends and holidays. Several reviewers note the limited lift infrastructure for the mountain's size, requiring traverses that challenge snowboarders. Lower elevation runs frequently suffer from warm temperatures and poor snow quality, while upper mountain terrain remains snow-sure. The town is close to the resort but separated, affecting après-ski convenience.

Having Revelstoke Mountain Resort as my home resort kinda feels like I’ve won the lottery. My first lap here was in 2010 and I’ve been pinching myself ever since that this powder paradise is where I get to call home. Steep, deliciously deep, and glades that go on for days… it’s almost a challenge to try to do the same run twice, there is just that much terrain. On a clear day the ridge walk over to Montana and into Kokanee feels like you’re walking into heaven, it’s stunning, and from there the off-piste possibilities just keep going. It’s a true choose your own adventure kind of mountain where the snow tap never seems to turn off, the runs are so long, and the lift lines so short, you feel like you’re in on a secret. And the topper is downtown isn’t more than 10 minutes from the resort for celebrating the sends after an epic day. Proximity to awesome is 10/10.

Snow was groomed, no crazy champagne powder, the mountain is really nice with very long slopes (like 25 min from the top until the first gondola stop)
Went on snowmobile too, crazy view!
So no powder but we see the sun from the village!
Nice village with many options to eat and drink

Great experience my first time out there. Spent 3 days snowboarding on and off piste, sub peak, and all bowls. Apres ski was great there as well. Take off your board and stroll into some of the restaurants right there.

Veryinteresting hill, majority of runs are up high so snow is deep and decemt quality while the town and village are warm and sometimes snow free. Tons of terrain up high with endless trees and glades. One day is not enough to explore everything. Recommended to pre pay and use kiosks to print your tickets to skip lines.

Revelstoke is great if you plan to do multiple days in a powder run. Close to town so accommodation is easy. Not far off a drive and enjoyable as well. Some of the best powder tree runs I've done. They were a bit silly when COVID was happening but they seem to have renewed their perspective on discriminating based on your blood. Good hill

Love the mountain lots. Like a mini whistler, good terrain but not busy. Subpeak is amazing with lots of fresh tracks. However it is a long hike so maybe a tbar in the future? Revy is my favorite mountain to ride at, no room for debate.

Overall it's a huge resort with just barely enough lifts to make it work. On a midweek low season day it feels like you have the mountain to yourself, on a high season day when it's snowed more than 15cm, get ready to wait in line for 30-40min per lap. Things have a tendency to quiet down by 1:30-2pm but you'd better know your way around the mountain of you expect to ski any good snow by then.

Boarders, get ready to unstrap: the minimal lift infrastructure means you will be doing long traverses to get around the mountain and pushing thru the flats. The owners of the resort are billionaires who only care about real estate profits so don't expect any new lifts in the near future.

Went here in march so only half the hill was open. Bottom of the mountain was 21degrees Celsius while the top was -4 Celsius. Great mountain to ski on. Lots of hills to challenge yourself on, with lots of back trails to go to. Helicopter skiing is available. Green run is 12 kilometers long and takes about 25 minutes to get to the first gondola from top of the mountain.
