What Skiers Say About Revelstoke

Revelstoke attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders seeking deep powder and challenging terrain. Users consistently highlight exceptional tree skiing, long vertical runs, and frequent snowfall that creates excellent off-piste conditions. The resort is praised for minimal lift queues outside peak periods, though gondola waits can exceed 30-40 minutes after fresh snowfall on weekends and holidays. Several reviewers note the limited lift infrastructure for the mountain's size, requiring traverses that challenge snowboarders. Lower elevation runs frequently suffer from warm temperatures and poor snow quality, while upper mountain terrain remains snow-sure. The town is close to the resort but separated, affecting après-ski convenience.

A great place for more advanced skiers as this place offers a lot of off piste/backcountry riding.
The town is great for food and drinks but not so much advised for beginners like my self.

Revelstoke Mountain resort is a great spot for anyone looking for some technical free rider terrain, and enjoys deep, fresh snow. With everything spread out the way it is, there are very short to no waiting times at lifts and few encounters on the slopes. There are beacon training ranges and multiple areas to practise using backcountry equipment before throwing on the skins, and heading off into side country. With foot access areas like North and south bowl, its very much a resort fit for the adventurous rider.

My favourite mountain in Canada, hands down. Even a bad day at Revy is a PHENOMENAL day. I work with many international people and am always recommending they put the time and effort in to do a trip to Revy, its worth it every. single. time!!!! If you like steep slopes and pow stashes to be found even days after a snowfall, Revy is the mountain for you.

Amazing underrated resort for back country skiing, particularly heliskiing with huge dumps of champagne powder every year!
It can be very very cold and a lack of mountain restaurants so you have to warm up in the bars at the bottom of the lifts!
