What Skiers Say About Revelstoke

Revelstoke attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders seeking deep powder and challenging terrain. Users consistently highlight exceptional tree skiing, long vertical runs, and frequent snowfall that creates excellent off-piste conditions. The resort is praised for minimal lift queues outside peak periods, though gondola waits can exceed 30-40 minutes after fresh snowfall on weekends and holidays. Several reviewers note the limited lift infrastructure for the mountain's size, requiring traverses that challenge snowboarders. Lower elevation runs frequently suffer from warm temperatures and poor snow quality, while upper mountain terrain remains snow-sure. The town is close to the resort but separated, affecting après-ski convenience.

Upper mountain contains the best tree runs and unpisted terrain I have experienced. Additionally the bowls hold a vast expanse of variable challenge and massive amounts of powder. The mid mountain has some high quality groomers that extend into the upper mountain. Could do with a couple extra lifts to make some terrain ares more accessible however this does mean that the mountain is very empty and it takes a long time for some powder stashes to get tracked out

Great mountain. Some of the best snow conditions. More of an advanced to expert hill with some really fun terrain that requires a little bit of hiking to access

Loved Revy, had lots of fun runs and great powder, plenty of variety for all levels. Good atmosphere and wasnt overcrowded or busy even for a weekend.

Revelstoke has the best off piste terrain Ive ever skied with steep and deep tree runs and open bowls, cliff drops and moguls. This is the best mountain for advanced/expert riders.

There is little grooming, alongside very steep terrain making this resort bad for beginners and intermediates, so not a great family friendly resort.

There is very little apre but great dining options in town.

This is the ultimate powder hounds resort who want to wake up early to get first lifts.

With the snow amount that has been received this year, RMR has done a great job keeping us riders on the snow. Besides the powder getting tracked super quick on the first powder day of the season even on a week day, most week days are quiet. Fresh grooms at 9am have been amazingly soft and powder is always lurking in the trees. Check the daily groom report to get the most of the fresh grooms and enjoy the pow-pow every time it comes. 10 cm goes a long way up there.
Have a great season yall

Steep, deep and not for the faint heart. Revelstoke offers some amazing skiing. It will definitely test your nerves and quads. Loads of fun on powder days where hardly anywhere is groomed as its all nature runs.

I love that theres warning huts at the top of most chairlifts. Lots of space per person on any runs, doesnt feel too crowded even on a busy day. Nice variety of terrain selection. Food options are great.
If you bought your ticket online and need switch the ski day that its for, customer service is very accommodating. Some issues with their QR scanning code to print online lift ticket, but overall great experience.

My fist time skiing at Revelstoke was last winter. My dad had taken me for a short 3 day ski trip to Revelstoke just a few hours away from home in the kootenays. The skiing was very good with lots of powder, good tree runs, cool natural features and plenty more with great restaurants just minutes form the mountain and loads of awesome people, the only con I can a think of is the popularity. Revelstoke is known for getting insane amounts of snow which not only brings attention to many skiers and boarders but also snowmobilers, making it hard to book a hotel unless you do months in advance. In the early mornings you have traffic and at the mountains you have lift lines galore. But lets be honest it is VERY hard to find a great ski mountain with no crowds other than that its a great ski mountain and if your on the Powder Highway if you can get accommodations in advance or just ski for the day me and many others are sure to recommend Revelstoke to all you shredders out there.

Revelstoke offers the largest vertical drop in North America and consistently offers visitors with excellent snow quality on world class terrain. Sitting in a relatively hard-to-access location (compared to Whistler or Banff), Revelstoke is often less crowded and most people are diehard skiers. For advanced and expert skiers, the resort offers numerous zones with tight chutes, massive cliffs, and anything else one could want. And if youre willing to climb a bit extra, you can usually find powder pockets even a week after the last snowfall. For beginner and intermediate skiers, the resort has a handful of learning areas including the new Stellar chair, and the last spike allows for less experienced skiers to go up top and enjoy the epic views.

Excellent terrain, not great food on mountain. Food in town is great.

Unfortunately the grooming leaves much to be desired but the off piste, powder, moguls and touring access is incredible

Revelstoke is a great resort for some open groomed terrain and some decent powder depending on the time of year. I wouldnt consider I the most family friendly or at least for beginners as most of the terrain is more of a challenge for the intermediate/advanced/expert visitors. Accommodation is quite expensive but decent and there is variety. I did not visit for long but I would definitely recommend for a fun challenge and chance to improve those skills on the slopes.
