What Skiers Say About Revelstoke

Revelstoke attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders seeking deep powder and challenging terrain. Users consistently highlight exceptional tree skiing, long vertical runs, and frequent snowfall that creates excellent off-piste conditions. The resort is praised for minimal lift queues outside peak periods, though gondola waits can exceed 30-40 minutes after fresh snowfall on weekends and holidays. Several reviewers note the limited lift infrastructure for the mountain's size, requiring traverses that challenge snowboarders. Lower elevation runs frequently suffer from warm temperatures and poor snow quality, while upper mountain terrain remains snow-sure. The town is close to the resort but separated, affecting après-ski convenience.

Revelstokes conditions are the best in January and February, due to the climate the temperature is mild and the mountains offerings are formidable with plenty of features to enjoy including back door runs, Revy is by far my favorite world class Canadian Ski Resort.

Mountain with relatively new high speed lift infrastructure makes wait times short. So much vertical to enjoy with powder caches among the many well pruned tree runs. Most time spent mid-mountain and higher will provide the best value. Awesome annual snowfalls and good apres vibes.

Revelstoke is an experience you need to fo with a group or family. There are many great ski options for the hill size and terrain. We go with a ski club and enjoy the excitement to be on the chair early, ski hard and enjoy the Apres at the end of the day. Revelstoke is great for groups and to break away and meet later as well. I recommend Revelstoke to try. It will not disappoint!! The town is great but does need more restaurants or bigger capacity at peak hours.

Revelstoke has the best inboubds powder tree skiing in Canada. The amounts of relatively light powder it gets is unbeatable. Having more advanced to expert terrain when compared to other canadian resorts makes it a bit less family friendly and having, essentially only two lifts to the best areas, a little bit of hiking is needed to get to the the best spots such as North Bowl , Peak and Subpeak but definetely worth it.
The town itself is not very family friendly either as there's not a whole lot of options for kids.
There's not a lot of mogul runs and the terrain is definetley more joyable on snowboards.
Overall, for a friends or lone ski trip for intermediate to advanced snowboarders is probably the best destination.

Not a family friendly resort, but good for a group of experienced riders looking for a challenge. Not much après ski life at all on the resort, but the town has a variety of options to choose from.

Amazing terrain for advanced intermediates and up. You can easily find some of the gnarliest inbounds terrain anywhere in North America. Powder is generally plentiful and you can keep finding fresh tracks for days. The lift infrastructure is simple but as theres only one way out of the base kt can bottleneck on powder days. But generally crowds are non existent. Not the best resort for beginners or families but terrain expansion is looking to change that. Overall its a gem with limited crowds and relatively affordable big mountain skiing. The town is awesome with virtually no chains and all locally owned businesses and restaurants.

We visited in a "low snow" season, so criticism of the conditions would be unfair. The resort did a great job of keeping most of the upper mountain open and provided a daily mix of groomed and ungroomed.

I was most impressed, however, with the training area. I've never seen a training area that was so well suited to progressive training - from rank beginner to upper intermediate/lower advanced. Right within the training area is "mock" off-piste terrain with gullies, small cliffs, short spans of steeper pitches, and trees. I've never seen anything like it. A great place to learn or practice new skills w/o worrying about getting lost or being over-faced.

Revelstoke is one of my favourite ski resorts in the world (and Ive been to many). Even on a bad day, its still good. Powder days are unreal - there may be a lineup for the gondola up the mountain, but once past that, the lines move fairly quickly. Both staff and other riders are really friendly and helpful. It is definitely a more advanced mountain, and would be enjoyed more by people who already have a solid basis for their skiing/snowboarding, as there is not much beginner terrain. Overall, I would highly recommend Revy.

Hitting revelstoke is a great experience for both the novice and professional alike. Lots of versatility being that they have lots of challenging terrain and one of the longest green runs Ive been on for those learning the ropes.

The snow is always great and its easy having a good time on this mountain with how tall their vertical is so it takes a good amount of time to get down the mountain.

The sites are one of a kind and theres tons to do and explore.

If you havent been here definitely check it out, you wont regret it.

I enjoyed my first visit to this hill. My review is based on the conditions at the time and the fact that I'm not familiar with the hill. I have yet to see all the mountain. The price is nuts, definitely need a discount card next time. The parking lots need help, and better access to and from vehicles. The lodges seem nice, but the lineup to get tickets was terrible. Staff are very friendly though. 5* for the friendly staff!

Revelstoke is not for the faint of heart with its vertical! I think it's heaven for borders and skiers alike. There was fresh powder every time I've skied there. Spectacular runs, views and the vibe from skiers and boarders is awesome. (I bought a new skis for that mountain). The town may be small but it has plenty of shops to browse in. The locals are friendly as could be, and tho dining out can be crowded and there may be a bit of a wait, the food is worth it. There is plenty of accomodation in town but it can fill up fast on those weekends during peak season, especially after a collossl snow fall that Revy is famous for. It is by far my favourite ski destination. Go, you will not be disappointed!
