What Skiers Say About Revelstoke

Revelstoke attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers and snowboarders seeking deep powder and challenging terrain. Users consistently highlight exceptional tree skiing, long vertical runs, and frequent snowfall that creates excellent off-piste conditions. The resort is praised for minimal lift queues outside peak periods, though gondola waits can exceed 30-40 minutes after fresh snowfall on weekends and holidays. Several reviewers note the limited lift infrastructure for the mountain's size, requiring traverses that challenge snowboarders. Lower elevation runs frequently suffer from warm temperatures and poor snow quality, while upper mountain terrain remains snow-sure. The town is close to the resort but separated, affecting après-ski convenience.

Revelstoke is an incredible expert mountain know for its record snowfall. When I was there this year there was a dry spell for 3 weeks so it was all groomed stuff and icy. Even still it was a ton of fun. The blues are great and felt like blacks elsewhere.

Absolutely love tge riding at this resort...incredibly long groomers that cannot be beat on a powder day, a plethora of gladed areas with a steady steep pitch; big open bowls if you are willing to do a little boot packing, crazy drops and places that I couldn't even ride if I could get to them!

They could use another set of lifts (which they are planning) to open up the mountain more and break up the wait times for the mandatory gondola that is the only entrance point to the goods above. Tge mountain divides in two from the top of the gondola as there are two very different sides to this resort and tgey only overlap if you come down some very narly chutes.

Revelstoke is a great mountain. Amazing views, tons of vertical and always lots of snow. You can stay in the resort or in town for a wider range of choices for food and accommodations. It's a short drive up to the mountain.

Snow can be suboptimal, especially towards the bottom, but when it’s good it’s good.
Steeper blues than your average resort but there’s a bit of everything for everyone except the absolute beginner.
Could use another lift or two to really take advantage of all the space

Best resort skiing in Canada if not North America. When it's on it's as close to heli/ cat skiing as it gets!

Every time I’ve been to Revy there’s always so much powder! The slopes are way less busy than Whistler and you don’t have to wait as long for chair lift. The apres isn’t as fun as Whistler but still a good time!

Had such a lovely time in Revy. Very efficient and fast lifts. Very long runs. I had 2 free days through my Grouse Y2K pass - what a deal!

I skied at Revelstoke Mountain Resort for the first time, joined by my two adult children, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation. The summit views were absolutely breathtaking, and even the runs themselves offered stunning scenery the whole way down. Visiting mid‑week meant lift lines were virtually non‑existent, which made the day feel relaxed and effortless.

Lunch options were more varied than I anticipated, and both the quality and the prices were a pleasant surprise. We explored a great mix of well‑marked runs and enjoyed every one of them.

All in all, it was a memorable day—beautiful terrain, smooth logistics, and an experience I’d happily repeat.

It has been a pretty sad season across the board for snow but riding Revelstoke with the height of the mountain saved this season.
the upper lifts have the good snow. Opposed to silverstar which feels like spring riding throughout the whole mountain.
The lift tickets are the most expensive ive seen or heard of other than whistler which ive never attended. 199 a day for riding is pretty extreme.

I love Revelstoke as a mountain! The snow and terrain is amazing. Lots of places to explore and awesome lines to take as an experienced rider. Definitely not as friendly to complete first time riders, however there is still plenty to explore if you’re just starting out. After riding a lot in northern Japan where the powder is maybe unmatched anywhere else in the world. I was very happily surprised by the snow in Revy. Really good deep powder days during December, with awesome tree lines, chutes and drops to hit! Outside of peak periods the resort stays pretty quiet and virtually no lift lines, however going during holidays can become a little congested as there are only a handful of lifts.

Revelstoke has always been my favorite resort, from the beautiful ski town to the gnarly cliffs and powder fields this place has it all. The groomers are fast and smooth but when they get a dump of their legendary powder is when the resort really shines. Perfectly spaced glades, rocky powder fields and plenty of cliffs to drop off, it's worth the travel to get to.
