Off mountain facilities and beginner slopes a bit lacking. But very few people and lots of fantastic terrain. Come and shred.

Fernie is great, great quality of skiing and various levels of terrain. Accom is limited at the resort but the town isnt too far with buses running throughout the day and lots of parking options. Food and Bev is decent with some nice restaurants and bars.

The tickets are crazy expensive this year. I love Fernie, but man its $180 and its all slush and rain right now. Its been one of the best powder resorts in the area and they honestly have the best staff. The lifts are slow moving on some parts of the hill and the lines get crazy, but theyre managed well!

Fernie has been great, the mountain seems mostly for advanced skiers with so much opportunity for challenging terrain. But there is still enough easy runs for beginners.

Lift lines are rare which is great

Fernie is a pretty big and fun resort. There is decent amount of off piste lines if youre willing to take a hike. The hill dominates primarily blacks but it is good for all skill levels. There is two restaurants on the bottom and one restaurant mid-top mountain with average prices. There is a lot of fun restaurants and ski shops in the town of fernie which has everything you need and a fun experience aswell.
The terrain park is where I felt it lacked. It has a RAIL park but hardly any jump features and if so they arent guaranteed. There is at least a pretty fun and unique ski cross track.

Great local scene. Friendly people. Amazing town. Have skied all conditions here. Always something fun because terrain is great.

Some condo and resort development hampers the local spirit of the ski hill, but a very worthy resort.

I have been working at Fernie Alpine Resort as a lifty and absolutely love it here. It is so quiet that you can find powder stashes 3-4 days after a dump easily.

The terrain park is just a rail park as the resort doesn't allow man made jumps.

The lifts and facilities are quite outdated but it is a blast to ski here.

All the best riding days of my life have been at Fernie! 70cms of incredibly light pow is a highlight but even when it's not snowed for a while there's usually soft spots to enjoy. The main thing is that the terrain is amazing - natural and challenging. It's so different from the family-friendly (aka tame) terrain of many other BC resorts. Plus the town of Fernie is awesome - great shops, bars, restaurants and music.
