This ski resort is in my honest opinion the best resort I've been to and where I enjoyed my first bit of proper powder!

The chairlifts are well spaced out to cover a wide spread of the slopes giving you access to a wide range of terrain so there's a bit for everyone no matter what youre looking for in a resort.

It gets a little busy in parts and congested with people particularly up white pass but only because thats where the good pow is at!

I've only scratched the surface at this resort since it covers a large area so it'll take you a while before seeing everything.

Great resort for all levels Highly advanced and challenging terrain around polar peak. Lots of traversing on the mountain which can be a little more difficult for snowboarders but definitely worth the time and effort for the powder and slopes.

Fernie alpine resort is covered with steep runs. If you like steep groomers, trees or chutes this place is perfect. A drawback is that there is a lot of traversing to access some terrain but put the work in and you will be rewarded with incredible off piste that isnt crowded with people. If your looking for cruising groomers and lower angle runs youd be best of trying somewhere else.

Fernie was amazing this year; genuinely one of the better places I have skied in a while and would definitely go back. The uplifts are quick and easy, ski and boot rental was cheap and all the staff everywhere (restaurants, chairlifts, rentals, hotel) were lovely.

Traveled from the U.K. to ski here and it did not disappoint. Most days had 10-50 cm of fresh snow fall overnight. The Griz ( the locals snow god) really delivered! Incredible skiing in fluffy light snow most days!

Amazing tree runs and bowl skiing. Really underwhelming groomers. Excellent chutes/steeps to ski. Polar peak is a must for any expert skiier to try. Fast lifts with very few lineups.

Excellent range of terrain. Epic pow days and terrific grooming for those days when off piste isn't the greatest. Not as busy as other resorts in the Rocky Mountains. Ten minutes out of town makes it super convenient. Wonderfully friendly locals and a really fun vibe. Park could be better if only RCR allowed jumps. Food is pricy with just average quality, decent range of fun drink options for both kids and adults. Chairlifts are old and could use some high speed upgrades, but maybe this is what keeps the resort on the less busy side 4/5 Stars from me.

We spent a 5 day vacation down in the resort of Fernie. Ski resort was absolutely incredible. The runs were in great condition for being in late march, and almost the whole hill was open. Prices may be on the higher side but for intermediate and above Id say this is worth spending money on. Only bad thing about this ski hill is that the lifts can be very long. Aside from that it is a great ski hill.

Beautiful area. Love coming here to ski 4-6 times a year. The only thing I don't like, is how money hungry the mountain is, and raise rates during holidays. Not affordable for families to come to during that time.
