Big White Review Summary

Big White attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from families with young children to advanced riders seeking powder and tree runs. The most consistent praise centres on champagne powder snow, minimal lift queues (especially midweek), extensive tree skiing, and a compact, family-friendly village with ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Reviewers frequently mention the resort's suitability for all ability levels, though several note that even green runs can be steep. The most common complaint is poor visibility during storms, earning it the nickname 'Big White-Out' among locals. Some reviews highlight limited nightlife and après-ski options compared to larger resorts, and a few mention higher prices for food and accommodation.

Big White is a resort in the Okanagan. Its has many different runs available for all levels. They have lots of accommodations for staying, eating, drinking, lounging, resting. My favourite resort in all of B.C. I would even say I enjoy big white more than Whistler! They have outdoor skating rinks, hockey rinks, sledding hills, they also have park ski/snowboarding with different types of activities like rails, small and big jumps, ramps, steps, etc. The lifts here dont have big lineups, and the lifts are very new and efficient! Very big resort with lots of amazing runs for all levels! I can honestly keep on raving about this resort. They also have a very good ski/snowboarding school. Well worth the trip!

Love this place, not super busy usually and ski lifts are quick. It does get foggy though and that can take away from the experience. There are not that many advanced trails but there is something for everyone and the town is well worth the visit.

I've been there two times, once with friends, and the other time with family. Both times I had an incredible amount of fun and the hotchocolates at the bullwheel are great! The off terrain runs were very challenging when I last went there, and my favourite was by far pegasaus which is a near vertical huge bowl. It is an all round great time and I consider it worth the price.

Love this place. Loads of snow everywhere. Be careful when the fog rolls in at certain elevations. Groomer operators are pros and do a fantastic job. Several off piste areas to enjoy as well. It doesnt disappoint ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good hill from beginner to intermediate. The terrain park is fairly good for the size of the hill, youll learn a lot. More advanced riders know many routes past the ropes.

Big white is a BLAST!!! What I really love about it is that majority of the resort is blue runs, meaning an intermediate skier can more or less go wherever they want without thinking much about it. Super cool. Its got a great village and plenty of building scattered around the mountain. Cant commend enough the terrain though, glades areas felt so plentiful and so fun, I picture my time at big white as some of my best in my ski career so far.

Amazing resort! The village is beautiful, the snow can be bountiful and the powder is unreal. The alpine zone is wild looking with trees enveloped in ice and snow. Magical!

Amazing family terrain and some for dad who likes to get a little crazy. Some for everyone. The ski school is also really good

Must visit Big White!

The resort has tons of condo buildings for accommodations for ski trips. Most come with hot tubs for a nice relaxing dip after a day on the slopes. Really loved the fact that there were ski out condos. Lift where long when I went but cleared out quite quickly. Runs are smooth but can be a little busy at some points. Many beginner friendly runs that are amazing to learn on and some with neat little tree lines and jumps on the side for learning techniques. There are plenty of food options but they are quite pricey. Have a some nice coffee though. Overall the resort is 5 star in my opinion as they also offer tons of family activities like tubing and skating along side the main ski and boarding. Super fun place to be and would recommend.
