What Skiers Say About Sunshine Village
Sunshine Village attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting the extensive terrain spread across three interconnected mountains. The snow quality and powder receive consistent praise, alongside the variety of runs and lack of serious lift queues compared to European or other North American resorts. Reviewers frequently mention the long season, high elevation, and well-groomed pistes. Common criticisms include expensive lift tickets and on-mountain food, flat sections that challenge snowboarders, limited on-mountain accommodation, and the distance from Banff requiring gondola access. Several users note that the resort is family-friendly but lacks a strong après-ski atmosphere on the mountain itself.

The free bus from the hotels to the gondola is really handy as well. Food is lovely as well as going out for drinks in the nights. All hotels are amazing so it doesn't matter where you stay, just know you're going to have a great nights sleep and good customer service.
I highly recommend sunshine village resort to anyone.
As a snowboarder I like this hill, but the flat spots are super annoying.
The parks are really good although they do not usually get built until late December
The resort is just on the border of Alberta and BC. And the views across the mountain range are amazing, as you can see mount Assiniboine
The resort is also known for being built on the great divide which is the highest part of the mountains where essentially the gravity splits the water either west or east
Powder is amazing but again, only downfall is that flat spots, especially with powder, you cannot get anywhere unless you are flying Mach chicken down the hill
Not the steepest hill or the biggest jumps but very family friendly. Don't get me wrong there's definitely a good terrain park. Downside is being so close to banff and calgary it does get super busy.
