What Skiers Say About Sunshine Village

Sunshine Village attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting the extensive terrain spread across three interconnected mountains. The snow quality and powder receive consistent praise, alongside the variety of runs and lack of serious lift queues compared to European or other North American resorts. Reviewers frequently mention the long season, high elevation, and well-groomed pistes. Common criticisms include expensive lift tickets and on-mountain food, flat sections that challenge snowboarders, limited on-mountain accommodation, and the distance from Banff requiring gondola access. Several users note that the resort is family-friendly but lacks a strong après-ski atmosphere on the mountain itself.

Sunshine village brings good vibes! People who ride there are generally really friendly and the staff are always helpful. The resort has a vast variety of terrain, and many terrain parks suitable for all levels. Trappers is a good spot for food and drink, and theres even a brand new ramen restaurant. There is another lodge at goats eye mountain if you find yourself that way and want something to eat. There are also heated indoor picnic spots with microwaves if you are bringing your own food.

Sunshine has a bit of flat spots that boarders may not like. Gets a lot of tourists on weekends. Food is super expensive and mediocre. Powder spots are hidden all over the mountain but especially on teepee town express and wawa quad. Park is absolutely phenomenal but sometimes there are no easy features and will only have massive rails.

Love this resort lots of runs availible so whether youre a beginner or expert there is something for you. There is always fresh snow to be found if you look in the right places and all the staff are super friendly. Lots of different on hill food options and lots of places to eat lunch if you brought your own. Only con I have is the price of a day pass get more and more expensive each year.

Lovely resort, feels like you can really put some distance down in a day without being stuck in the same bowl. Love Mad Trappers for a midday pint and the park options in the mid season are unreal. Snow conditions hold up long into the spring and you cant forget the end of season slush cup. Might not be skiing at the end of May but best believe Ill be there for the Aprés.

Sunshine is an all around great resort. The only downside to sunshine is how short the runs are. It feels like Im traversing for the majority of the run. Either way it has great terrain to make up for it

First of all, the view you get from the chair lift is unreal. The temperature was not the nicest when we went but that cannot be controlled! I enjoyed the mellow terrains as Im not very good yet. Overall tho had a blast and want to go back so badly!

Ive been there a few times, its where Ive spent most of my time skiing. There are quite a few mountains, and usually its not too busy especially if you avoid the busier areas. Also, if the day is super windy there is a decent bit of skiing you can do below the tree line so you dont freeze. The heated chairlift is also really really great. The ski out down from the village at the end of the day is super nice. Not sure how difficult it would be for a top end skier because Im definitely not one but at least for me, an intermediate/advanced level skier there are both difficult and easier runs, and Ive been able to go skiing with people who arent as skilled. Overall Id really recommend it, probably the favourite one Ive been to. Hopefully one day I can stay in the village on the mountain because that looks sick (although super expensive)

Great hill, Delirium Dive is a wild ride if you can do backcountry.

Wolverine has some good trees and is a shelter when windy.

Goats eye is where the fun is at. The chutes have insane views.

Avoid the main cafeteria, crappy expensive food. Trappers is much better.
