Really great skiing generally. Nice well groomed green and blues, early in the season so limited slopes open.
Good facilities for food and drink, not ridiculous prices. Bus from Banff regular and included with pass.
Passes are expensive, we bought a day one due to uncertainty on weather conditions but we were really lucky on the days we were there.

Absolutely amazing experience. Got a ski pass for the big 3 and spent 90% of the time at sunshine. Amazing runs, loads of options, great for all abilities.

Best place, best people... You can't imagine unless you go!

Stayed in canmore and rented a car on turo, it was soo easy, plenty of parking and busses, honestly 29 out of 32 days were bluebird, had 40cm overnight, the parks are insane and the people load the gondola with you snowboard for you! It's the best place I've ever been

We absolutely loved Banff and especially Sunshine Village ski resort. The general atmosphere is just great. It’s very friendly and welcoming. The slopes are well taken care, the staff are friendly and everything seems to work really well. The variety of runs is great, there seems to be something for everyone there, from absolute beginners to advanced riders who want to go off piste or do tricks at the park area. We would definitely come back again in the future.

I love going to Sunshine! There is something for everyone, from learning to ski to expert level. There’s a lot of backcountry options as well. Even when it super busy it never compares to some places in Europe. The snow quality is good and everything is easily accessible

Sunshine Village in Banff National Park is a total gem for skiers and snowboarders. With over 3,300 acres of terrain, there’s something for everyone—whether you're a newbie or an expert. The snow is pretty consistent thanks to the high elevation, and the season lasts from November to May, so you’ve got plenty of time to enjoy it.
The lifts are quick, and the resort rarely feels crowded, so you can get in a lot of runs without waiting too long. For food and drinks, Mad Trapper’s Saloon is a fun spot to chill after a day on the slopes, or you can grab a bite at Grizzly Grill. If you want to stay right on the mountain, Sunshine Mountain Lodge offers ski-in/ski-out access and stunning views.
All in all, Sunshine Village is a solid choice for a laid-back, scenic ski getaway with great snow and plenty of variety on the slopes.

Vast resort offering huge amount of runs and terrain. There is lots to do around the mountains and the addition of the goat club is great for apres vibes. You couldn’t ski the whole resort in a week if you tried as there is just so much to go at!

Sunshine is wonderful, and we really enjoyed family skiing. There are few downsides if you accept the best accommodation is 30 mins away by free bus in Banff, which was not an issue for us. The only problem day was over Christmas and Boxing day when it was very busy and led to big queues.

Great local mountain from Calgary, I try to go a couple times a year. It’s a shame the sport has gotten so expensive everywhere or I’d go much more. We haven’t had much snow this year but Sunshine has done a great job with what we’ve had. The groomers are always great fun to blast down and there’s tons of side tree trails to dip in and out of. I wish they had more seating for lunchtime if you packed your own lunch, but overall great mountain!

Was the best snowboarding trip I’ve ever been on - had the most amazing powder on the slopes and cannot rate the village high enough for restaurants/bars after boarding all day. Was a trip of a lifetime and can’t wait to do it all again

Sunshine charges £175+ tax for a day pass. Extortionate. Everything on hill is overpriced nowadays. Although a pitcher of beer has stayed at $28 for a couple of years now. But still. $28 + tax. Yeesh.
The waning snow conditions make it better in the afternoon once the suns had time to warm up the ice. Need more snow, but that's global warming for you.
Still fun time with good pals.

Fun resort. Not too busy. Great for snow boarders. Beginners will have fun. Love the gondola ride from the parking lot and staff were very friendly. They had a tip cup with "Porsche Fund" written on it but they never save it; the staff use it to buy beers at the Rose & Crown after work. I love it. They work hard and we thought it was a great story.

If you can, go mid week to avoid lines. Try to get to the mountain early to avoid parking far from the gondola. Ensure you have a vehicle equipped to drive up a winter mountain road, though when we were there the roads were completely free of snow and ice. You are able to bring packed lunches but are only able to eat them in certain buildings. There is free outside shelves to leave your bags while you are out on the mountain. Keep in mind they are outside in the elements. The two heated and covered chairlifts are a nice retrieve from the elements on cold windy days. Many areas coming off the top of the lifts are open terrain with no tree coverage, make sure you have good goggles for low light conditions.

I love Sunshine, but do wish there were more tree runs since the resort is very busy.

There are al kinds of skill levels all over the ski hill, and it’s great for families with young children.

As a snowboarder, it’s a bit tough to figure out the flats unless you know it well.

By far my favourite resort everywhere. Coming from Ontario, I didn’t truly know what mountains were. My day at sunshine village changed my life, I will never forget it as long as I live

Very diverse amount of runs from groomed to back country, getting there around 7:30am helps to get a parking spot not so far away. Great food and drink options. Great lifts and great staff

Overall, the runs at Sunshine Village were fantastic. I was with a big group and there were solid options for every level, which kept things fun all day. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food options were great, the views were unreal, and I’m already looking forward to coming back soon.

Wonderful, beautiful mountain!! We enjoyed every moment as a family of four. Ski school was amazing, and the kids are already begging to return. Their instructor, Ben. S was awesome!! The food was great, and even had gluten free options for my son and I who are celiac. 10/10 would recommend!!
