What Skiers Say About Sunshine Village
Sunshine Village attracts skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting the extensive terrain spread across three interconnected mountains. The snow quality and powder receive consistent praise, alongside the variety of runs and lack of serious lift queues compared to European or other North American resorts. Reviewers frequently mention the long season, high elevation, and well-groomed pistes. Common criticisms include expensive lift tickets and on-mountain food, flat sections that challenge snowboarders, limited on-mountain accommodation, and the distance from Banff requiring gondola access. Several users note that the resort is family-friendly but lacks a strong après-ski atmosphere on the mountain itself.

For advanced riders, the terrain is hard to beat. Delirium Dive is a must for anyone looking to push their limitsits steep, technical, and absolutely thrilling. Goats Eye Mountain is another highlight, especially The Shoulder, where you can find steep, fast lines and plenty of natural features to keep things exciting.
The snow quality at Sunshine is second to none. Thanks to its high elevation, the powder stays dry and light, even late in the season. Ill never forget a bluebird day last winter when I dropped into South Divide after an overnight snowfall. The runs were pristine, the snow was perfect, and the views of the Rockies made it all feel surreal.
Beyond the terrain, the vibe at Sunshine is what makes it special. From the friendly lifties to the chilled-out après scene at Mad Trappers, its a place where everyone feels welcome. The heated seats on the Teepee Town LX chair are a nice bonus, especially on cold days.
Sure, it can get busy on weekends, and the gondola ride down can be a bit of a pain, but those are small trade-offs for what you get: incredible riding, stunning views, and a place that feels like home.
If youre an advanced snowboarder looking for a resort that delivers on every front, Sunshine Village is where you want to be. Every trip reminds me why I love snowboarding.
6 high speed quads allow for quick laps.
Sunshine doesnt exactly live up to its sunny maniker with most days throughout the winter being fairly overcast, but it makes up for it in the spring with beautful blue bird days.
The new angel 6 pack chair is a great addition that speeds up trips to the upper mountain.
However lots of flat sections make this resort a bit of a pain for boarders. Worth the trip for sure
