Great resort for kids. The green runs have plenty of trails in the trees kids love to slip in and out of. The knob has some good runs and decent snow for more advanced skiers.

Marmot Basin is a ski resort in a cute little mountain town in the Canadian Rockies. They have a variety of routes for all ski levels and great lodges both at the bottom and middle of the mountain if you need a rest. The town site of jasper suffered major destruction last year due to wild fires, but they are rebuilding and ready for your skiing and tourism dollars to support their economy. Come to jasper, support the local economy and ski an awesome mountain.

Marmot is the quietest and most family friendly resort Ive ever been to. They dont get the best snow but the quality of the snow is awesome and it is located so high up and so far north they dont get thaw and freeze cycles. The run length is perfect for me as I get older. My favourite ski hill.

Marmot Basin has some great powder and is perfect for those who are intermediate. Highly recommend stopping at the upper chalet for some delicious hot chocolate! Also love how you can ski right to the parking lot! The town of Jasper is roughly 15 mins away. Although some of it burnt down last summer, there are still plenty of places to stay at and lots of good restaurants still standing!

The only problem is its missing a good terrain park, it has lots of variation in runs and it can suit any level of skiing, the mid mountain lodge is such a calm place to get food and take a break during a long day. Great terrain, ample off-piste and tree runs for more experienced skiers and snowboarders.

Marmot Basin is a great resort to visit for a day to enjoy the immense amount of snow they get, while being tucked away a bit and avoiding the normal resort rush of people seeking somewhere to land their skis.

This mountain most definitely held a smaller family vibe, and could be easily explored in a day.

The mountain offers a variety of trails, and the powder can be unreal at times. The terrain isnt too crazy, but its a really quaint family mountain, perfect for an escape from the crowds.

I was at Marmot last year and had the time of my life both at the resort and up on the mountain! The quality of the runs is something to be proud of and I would definitely go back for the slopes, the food, and the overall good times.

Marmot has by far the best long green runs that can slip into blues along the route at the rider choice! This allows you to take the route you want and test your limits by changing it up along the way or allowing friends to take close routes and meet up at cross sections to be able to ride with the homies but also have your own experience. For those seeking more thrills the parkbopens up at the bottem with some smaller parks to hit along the way so you don't have to wait too long to hit that rail that you've been dreaming of. Even more thrill? Ride up to the top of the mountain on either side and face the Peaks double blacks or black runs to really test your skills and hey no worries if your less experienced friend wants to tag along there's always a blue run nearby to take ya back to the greens for smooth sailing - Marmot does a great job at allowing riders of all levels to ride with and near friends at all points of the mountains so that the whole gang can experience similar experiences. Whether your new or a pro this hill will allow you long runs for practice all the way from the top of the hill down or to start off if your very new they have some mid mountain chairlifts to take you up just enough that you get a good ammount of practice in without having to worry about conquering the whole mountain on day one. Deffinetly a must go to for riders of all levels!

This is the longest mountain ski resort to me so I have gotten the pleasure of going quite often. They have plenty of runs for all skill levels, beautiful scenery. One of my favouritei runs i did the rebut requires some hiking is you can hike up to the top of the mountain. It took myself and a buddy about 4 hours to hike up and walk across the Ridgeline to a bowl that hasn't been touched by anyone and it had just snowed the night before.

Marmot basin really is the best resort in the world in my opinion. I have spent a lot of time skiing around this place and have seen it grow and develop ever since my first trip in 2011.

Located in Jasper, this is a small town in the middle of nowhere in the incredible rockies mountains. It is more quiet than Banff and Lake Louise which makes your experience on the slopes even better!

Who doesnt love a fresh new powder day run all to yourself? At Marmot, you definitely get that.

I did my skiing instructing level 1 here also, so I can honestly say their facilities for teaching is incredible. Along with great staff and the mountain terrain itself, this makes learning at Marmot the best.

They have two onsite chalets, one at the base of the mountain and the other mid mountain. The latter is smaller and the oldest building on site which also has some incredible views. Stopping off for a hot drink or alcoholic beverage and food here will never disappoint.

Over the past 10 years, Marmot Basin have expanded their ski trails and made exploring even better. The mountain offers numerous options for trails of all different capabilities which ensures no one is left out when visiting.

Jasper town itself offers many different hotels and restaurants to visit during your stay for all different budgets. Whether you are a solo traveller or with friends a family, this place as mentioned earlier is so uncrowded and laid-back, unlike many other ski resorts, especially in Europe.

If youve never been, you have to visit! Its just an incredible place.

Marmot basin is a great mountain just outside of jasper Alberta. Its packed with stunning views and vast terrain. Its perfect for families offering daycare, lessons and affordable rentals. There is small lift lines on busiest of days. There is 2 chalets one at the base and one at mid mountain. The one at mid mountain has a fire often accompanied with music! Some shortcomings of the mountain is the relatively smaller size 1700 acres compared to nearby resorts such as Banff sunshine 3300 acres and Lake Louise at 4200 acres. It also does not offer on resort lodging but there is great accommodation in jasper which is 20 mins away. In conclusion it is a great mountain where you can have a great time with family and friends.
