Big resorts without big resorts crowds. Newer lifts add lots of opportunities at all levels. Price point/value is good.
This mountain most definitely held a smaller family vibe, and could be easily explored in a day.
The mountain offers a variety of trails, and the powder can be unreal at times. The terrain isnt too crazy, but its a really quaint family mountain, perfect for an escape from the crowds.
Lots of groom runs great for new skiers still trying to get that big mountain feel, awesome tree line with lots of little hidden jumps and runs, upper mountain is great fun with knob offering some challenging runs and good powder, chairs are about medium efficiency and staff is amazing at this place great ski school and great people running the mountain
Located in Jasper, this is a small town in the middle of nowhere in the incredible rockies mountains. It is more quiet than Banff and Lake Louise which makes your experience on the slopes even better!
Who doesnt love a fresh new powder day run all to yourself? At Marmot, you definitely get that.
I did my skiing instructing level 1 here also, so I can honestly say their facilities for teaching is incredible. Along with great staff and the mountain terrain itself, this makes learning at Marmot the best.
They have two onsite chalets, one at the base of the mountain and the other mid mountain. The latter is smaller and the oldest building on site which also has some incredible views. Stopping off for a hot drink or alcoholic beverage and food here will never disappoint.
Over the past 10 years, Marmot Basin have expanded their ski trails and made exploring even better. The mountain offers numerous options for trails of all different capabilities which ensures no one is left out when visiting.
Jasper town itself offers many different hotels and restaurants to visit during your stay for all different budgets. Whether you are a solo traveller or with friends a family, this place as mentioned earlier is so uncrowded and laid-back, unlike many other ski resorts, especially in Europe.
If youve never been, you have to visit! Its just an incredible place.
