What Skiers Say About Lake Louise

Lake Louise attracts predominantly intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders who consistently praise the resort's extensive terrain, including back bowls, tree runs, and varied difficulty levels. Reviews frequently mention excellent powder quality, minimal lift queues, spectacular mountain views, and efficient lift systems including recent upgrades. Negative feedback centres on inconsistent snow conditions with runs becoming icy between storms, expensive food and limited dining options, cold temperatures, parking difficulties especially on weekends, and a subdued après-ski atmosphere compared to European resorts. Several users note the resort works well for mixed-ability groups due to its terrain variety.

Lake Louise is my favourite ski resort I have been to in Canada. It has so many runs. You feel like youre constantly exploring the park. There are multiple food options and lodges are available, which allows you to be flexible in your plans.

Louise is a phenomenal west resort. Get in those trees, explore west bowl, and enjoy that champagne powder!

Awesome place to go. The mountain is massive and has too many runs to do all of them in one day. There arent many super easy runs there but the black diamonds arent as hard compared to sunshine village. Sick views too.

The resort was beautiful, and the snow was just perfect in the terrain park and on the runs, only downside being a bit busy but otherwise was fun overall. The food quality and price was very good compared to other resorts and me and my friends had a lot of fun down there. lifts had big lines of course but they went by pretty fast. staff were nice and accommodating, and overall i had a very good experience here. Definitely worth the drive and definitely recommend this resort for your next trip

We stayed at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Very nice hotel with fabulous restaurants and amenities. We drove about 15-20 to the Lake Louise ski resort. Beautiful powder trails. Great views and wonderful experience.

Really nice longer runs makes skiing my dynamic. Lots of front side and backside options for every level gives loads of variation. Plenty of ways to access all over the mountain and lots of variation in routes to come down. This is made even better by a brand new loft. Well maintained and organised. Run difficulty is updated almost daily considering conditions which I really like (e.g blue upgraded to black via signage if conditions are bad or left mogul-y)

Base area is ok with a few places to grab food and drink, and quality of food is really good (and good value for money!) however is overcrowded I would say. Hard to find somewhere to sit for lunch but worth it when you finally do. I would definitely ski here again, after a week I still dont feel like Ive hit it all.

Due to low snow season ot feels like an average resort. Good conditions during early opening hours, however, post noon it becomes too icy to snowboard groomed runs

Great resort out west! Its about an hour away from Banff which has most accommodation options so you need a rental car. Bowls are wonderful on a good powder day!

Love the resort but lift lines are really long making it a bit less enjoyable. Great off-piste and tree runs. Best time to go for the most snow is jan/feb

Bergeson for combination of alpine bowls and chutes as well as tree line glades and groomers. Can almost always find fresh lines somewhere.
Short lift lines once you get away from the base as people spread out quickly.

Lake Louis is a great family friendly hill. It features long groomed runs for beginners with lifts scattered on the front and back side of the mountain. I recommend the back side for harder more technical runs aswell as tree/non groomed trails. Overall a great place to Ski for the day.

I live in Banff so LL is one of the 3 main hills. Excellent!! Can be icy on the front but always groomers. Lots of choices. Back side is amazing, always!! Lots of options for food and apres. Lodges have choices for high end or if youre just there for the ski. Lift lines move quickly. Weekends are crazy busy . 45min drive from Banff so tons of options for hotels, dining, shopping etc. Stay at LL if you want a more chill atmosphere

Lake Louise is the most beautiful ski resort. The views on the lift and skiing down are unmatched.

Top level ski instructors helped my kids excel and feel confident on the terrain.

Enjoyed the varied terrain and the beautiful views the resort has to offer. Not overly crowded and the lift lines were quick and efficient. Really close to Banff for excellent dining and shopping options.
