I skied here for a total of 8 days, it was very early in the season so not all the runs had been opened yet. The slopes were not really busy and you rarely had to wait in line. The people working at the ski resort were over all very friendly and helpfull. This season a new lift opened that made going up the mountain a lot more efficient. However, there are a lot of old(slow) lifts without feetrests that make the experience going up the mountain less comfortable. But the skiing is very nice, there are a lot of options to go off piste for more adventerous skiers and also a lot of easy runs for beginners.

Lake Louise is hands down my favourite ski resort in Alberta. The groomed runs are amazingfast, smooth, and perfect for just cruising without a care in the world. If you love speed, youll have a blast.
The backside is unreal, especially on a good snow day. The pillow field (actually called the rock garden) is incredible when its loaded with fresh powderyou just float down effortlessly. And once youre up top, lift lines usually arent an issue, at least on weekdays.
The lodge is nice, parking is super easy with tons of space, and theyve added a bunch of new chairlifts, which is always a plus.
On top of all that, the views are insane, and the wildlife is pretty cool too. Ive even spotted a bobcat a couple of times! If youre into skiing or snowboarding, I cant recommend Lake Louise enough.

Great resort! Lots of terrain and a great park, unfortunately doesnt get the snow it used to! Would rival revelstoke / kicking horse for terrain if they had the same snow!

One of my favourite resorts, definitely my favourite that can easily be done as a day trip from Calgary. With backside and larch lifts in addition to the front side of the mountain its always easy to find areas without lines as long as you avoid the gondola first thing in the morning and after lunch, youll almost never wait. When theres pow and the gates are open the gullies in the backside are always amazing, similarity the west bowl is a little easier but heavenly on the pow days. Can easily traverse from the larch or hike up to find some awesome runs. The groomed runs on the front side are great for beginner and intermediate skiers but the lower areas can get quite busy, I recommend spreading out to other areas, doable runs for intermediate skiers can be found off all but the summit chair. Its always possible to find blissful and quiet more advanced runs if you spread out and explore the vast skiable area.

Wow. The first word when it comes to Lake Louise. This resort is unbelievable, it has crazy terrain ranging from ridgeline drops by hikes or powder topped rocks (rock garden) all the way to cruising groomers through cloud inversions. This resort 100% lives up to the hype, your comfort zone can be pushed on this terrain and youll definitely walk away a better skier.

I have a season pass at Louise and know the mountain pretty well.
The groomers are often fantastic in the morning and get a little slippery in spots in the afternoon.
The backside of the mountain is often where the snow collects, so even if it hasnt snowed in a while you can often find pockets of wind blown snow around.
They have an amazing variety of terrain, from easy green runs to challenging double black runs. The views are just incredible too!

The backside is a great area to challenge your abilities offering a multitude of variable terrains from steep treed runs with nice transitional drops that excite even the more advanced skiers and boarders. All in all, the mountain is amazingly versatile for all levels of enthusiast's.

Highly recommend taking advantage of the free mountain tours in the morning to get an understanding of the resort, and spend the afternoon in the backside bowls :)

The resort is very good, the times I went the snow wasnt great and it was icy, however if there is good powder it is very good. The parks are great and there is a wide variety of jumps. Going early to get a spot close to the hill is a must or you will have to walk a lot.
