What Skiers Say About Lake Louise

Lake Louise attracts predominantly intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders who consistently praise the resort's extensive terrain, including back bowls, tree runs, and varied difficulty levels. Reviews frequently mention excellent powder quality, minimal lift queues, spectacular mountain views, and efficient lift systems including recent upgrades. Negative feedback centres on inconsistent snow conditions with runs becoming icy between storms, expensive food and limited dining options, cold temperatures, parking difficulties especially on weekends, and a subdued après-ski atmosphere compared to European resorts. Several users note the resort works well for mixed-ability groups due to its terrain variety.

Lake Louise is my favorite local resort near the Calgary (home) area. It’s worth the extra drive as we always have amazing conditioned and usually tons of fresh powder!

The full run from the top to the bottom of the gondola is phenomenal.

The back side gets less sun so there isess ice with more powder.

Lake Louise is my favourite of the Big 3 in Banff. They have options for all skill levels, the lodge is comfortable, the food options on the mountain range from basic to gourmet, and the runs are interesting all over the mountain.

Lake Louise is close to the Calgary International Airport. There are lots of options for groomers and moguls. Runs can be extremely busy. Decent value for the money.

Louise is not hidden but truly a gem of the Rockies. With more than enough runs to spread the crowds out and a mix off almost all lifts it truly has something for everyone.

My favorite is Larch chair, a small traverse and you drop into rock garden a drop through a bowl, zip through the rocks and bumps. Heaven.

Best variety of terrain out of all resorts in Canada as well as just some of the most fun runs I’ve ever done in my life. Excellent powder skiing, and tree skiing. As well as best lift access. Plus heated seat chair lifts.

Amazing hill for every level and skill set! Have no true complaints other than how popular this resort gets every year but I’m grateful it’s more affordable and less busy than Whistler!

My daughter and I skied for 3 days at Lake Louise in Late April. We found very reasonable accommodations in Banff and had a rental vehicle for driving up to Lake Louise. It was our 3rd visit over the past 23 years. Just as good as the 1st and 2nd visits!!

Pixking up skis and poles at rentals were quick and very quick and efficient. The now qas plentiful and the runs were well groomed. Staff are very professional and friendly. Great value for the money paid compared to other mega corporation owned hills like Whistler. We'll be back again soon.
