What Skiers Say About Lake Louise

Lake Louise attracts predominantly intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders who consistently praise the resort's extensive terrain, including back bowls, tree runs, and varied difficulty levels. Reviews frequently mention excellent powder quality, minimal lift queues, spectacular mountain views, and efficient lift systems including recent upgrades. Negative feedback centres on inconsistent snow conditions with runs becoming icy between storms, expensive food and limited dining options, cold temperatures, parking difficulties especially on weekends, and a subdued après-ski atmosphere compared to European resorts. Several users note the resort works well for mixed-ability groups due to its terrain variety.

When 'The Lake' gets fresh snow = it is amazing. Can be cold in the depths of winter (January). View will blow your mind! There are countless terrain options, if you are brand new, hook up with a "Ski Friend" for free mountain tour.

I love Lake Louise! There is an awesome backside to visit for sure! I am a snowboarder so I don't go on moguls. There is a brand new chairlift with a cover and it is fantastic. Lots of terrain to check out and tons of different runs! My friends and I enjoy the lodges too! We usually stay around Canmore or Dead Mans flats.

Great , beautiful resort. Would definitely come again since I live in the prairies in Manitoba, we don't have many great slopes nearby. Can't wait to visit again !!

Fantastic ski hill, my favourite in Alberta. The patio and apres-ski options, including halfway down the hill. The lifts never have too long of a lineup, and the vibes are unreal. Getting tickets even with long lineups goes fairly quickly, staff is all friendly and knowledgeable.

Great hill! Not too much around but not super far from Banff. Went during the cold snap so it was quite cold but I had an amazing time!

I have been returning to Lake Louise for a number of years and it feels like my skiing home. The staff are so welcoming from the moment of arriving at resort. There are plenty of options for skiing depending on your level - nice cruisy runs for beginners and intermediates and a mix of moguls, maintained off piste and tree runs for a slightly more advanced skier. If you like moguls, the back bowls are your place to go!! The resort has ski friend tours where you can join a group and get a bit of a locals tour round some of the best ski areas. As a solo skier this is often a nice way to meet new people but also to get a general flavour for the resort without having to think too much about navigating piste maps.

Heading up Green Chair at Blue Mountain was a game-changer for me. The fresh air, the wide, and open runs felt like the perfect step up. I started on Easy Rider, nervous but excited, carving smoother than I expected. Halfway down, I picked up speed, feeling that rush everyone talks about. A little wobble near the bottom almost took me out, but I stayed upright. By the time I reached the lift again, I knew I was hooked. It wasnt just about the ride, it was about pushing myself. Cant wait to go back and level up even more!

An amazing resort full of great skiing. However as with most NA resorts theres not a huge apres ski scene. A few small bars at the bottoms by the main entrance and a number of lodges along the way. The bistro half way down the front of the moment is an incredible spot for lunch however. All the runs are well groomed and well connected for a great ski experience.

I love shredding Louise the pow caches are fenominal and the shoots just hit different! Staff there are always so happy to help and give guidance. One tip from my friends who are a bit less experience is that it wasnt their favourite due to the steepness of lots of the runs. That arent the very beginner runs:)
