Best Ski Resort for Eating Out in Austria: Ellmau - SkiWelt - Eating Out Rating 4.56/5
Ellmau's food scene gets enthusiastic praise from Snomad users. One skier who's visited for 20 years raves about the restaurant options, while another highlights Memory Ellmau, an Italian place famous for its celebrity-visited pizzas. An advanced skier recommends skipping full board accommodation to enjoy the local restaurants. The mountain dining gets special mention too - you'll find charming small huts rather than "concrete monstrosities" as one reviewer puts it. The piste-side restaurants are surprisingly affordable compared to other resorts, with no booking required.

Ischgl's dining scene gets top marks from our users across the board. The resort offers an impressive range of options both on and off the slopes. One Snomad community member liked the "great variety of slopes for all ski levels" and "lovely restaurants on the slopes and around the town." Another user pointed out the "great on-mountain dining with a good range of food, including some rather cheap spots and some other rather fancy restaurants." Several reviewers mentioned the quality of mountain restaurants, with one expert skier calling them "world-class" (though advising to "avoid the resort-owned canteens"). The Swiss side also offers excellent lunch spots.
#3 Schladming - Eating Out Rating 4.43/5
Looking for quality dining in Schladming? Our users consistently praise the mountain food options.
