What Skiers Say About Val Gardena - Gröden
Val Gardena attracts predominantly intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders drawn to the Sella Ronda circuit and the broader Dolomiti Superski area. Reviewers consistently praise the extensive terrain, well-maintained pistes, efficient lift system, and dramatic Dolomite scenery. The quality and value of on-mountain dining is frequently highlighted, as is the blend of Austrian efficiency with Italian hospitality. Common criticisms include limited après-ski options, afternoon slush on lower slopes during warmer periods, variable natural snowfall requiring reliance on artificial snow, and some confusion with piste signage and maps. A few reviewers note that the resort may be challenging for complete beginners due to limited green runs and the need to navigate reds to access certain blue terrain.

Great food to be had in resort and on the mountain. Apres is limited to 3or 4 bars in the town but the atmosphere in those is great.
Overall a great resort and would definitely go back.
