The whole area is amazing. The snowmaking and piste management is second to none, and the ability to make up a tour each day and go on a little adventure to a Refugio or historic site is unique.
Food and drink on and off the slopes is typically cheap and excellent, and very rarely are you queuing for a lift for more than a few minutes at a time, most you can get straight on. The ski pass itself is on the high side, but worth it for the facilities.
Off-piste is available, but not in the same manner you get elsewhere in Europe, often requiring a guide and seemingly rare conditions these days. That said, the Marmolada does provide a number of consistent routes down.

Great little resort that remains fairly quiet and peaceful yet connected to the Sella Ronda so best of both worlds if you want a small area where it’s hard to get lost and good value eating and drinking. Or loads of variety of pistes to explore nearby . Good ski bus connections that work beyond lift closing times.

A really lovely location for a family trip. Food and drink on the slopes were very affordable compared to France. €8 for pasta pizza ect. Well groomed runs. Not massive difficulty so better for intermediate/ beginners and kids.
