What Skiers Say About Serre Chevalier
Serre Chevalier attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with many reviewers noting the extensive 250km ski area spread across four villages. Intermediate and advanced riders consistently praise the varied terrain, tree-lined runs, and accessible off-piste options. The resort is described as quiet, particularly outside French school holidays, with minimal lift queues and a relaxed, authentic French atmosphere. Common criticisms include outdated lift infrastructure, limited après-ski options, and lower altitude base areas that can suffer from poor snow conditions or become slushy in warmer weather. Reviews frequently highlight good value for money and praise the authenticity of the villages, though some note that prices are still typical for France.

Eating out is great. Apres is not brilliant but try the Grotte.
Skiing is so varied - and massive. It’ll take a day to ski between villages.
Park is OK for intermediates.
Off piste is there if you know where to look.
Overall an amazing resort.
Very big well groomed lost of different experience level runs.
Quite a treck to get from one side of the mountain to the other.
Not a man made resort so accommodation is all down in the valley so not great for the piste side April but amazing skiing. North facing mountain the whole way so usually well mainted snow as doesn't get too slushed up by the sun.
