Méribel Review Summary
Méribel attracts predominantly intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, many travelling in mixed-ability groups or families. The resort is consistently praised for its central location in the Three Valleys, offering efficient access to Courchevel and Val Thorens via well-maintained lift infrastructure. Reviewers repeatedly mention the extensive ski area, good piste grooming, and lively après-ski scene, particularly at Rond Point and La Folie Douce. However, the high cost of accommodation, food, and drinks is a frequent complaint, with many noting that Méribel is significantly more expensive than resorts in Austria or Italy. Lift queues can be an issue during peak periods, particularly on lower lifts, though most report they move relatively quickly. A few snowboarders mention flat connecting runs as problematic.

Really great après ski: always somewhere to go for wild dancing on tables or a quiet drink. Good restaurants and accommodation options at a range of prices.
Some of the main apres places were not open this early into the season but if your looking for amazing weather, smooth empty slopes and an amazing location Meribel is it.
The ski park In montrantte massively helped.
Will 100% return.
Perfect for families with great wide green runs
It has good food, family friendly and also has great ski area.
What sets meribel apart is the community and also the great apre
But what really keeps bringing me back is the après-ski. Last year, I returned just to relive that vibe, and Ronnies did not disappoint. If youre looking for a lively spot with great music, a fun crowd, and a buzzing atmosphere, this is the place to be. After a full day on the mountain, theres nothing better than kicking back with a drink in hand, soaking up the energy, and swapping stories with fellow skiers. Méribel truly has it all, and Ill definitely be back again for round three!
Ski conditions vary year to year and day to day and it is always worth exploring the full three valleys to find the best snow.
The lift system is efficient and up to date. On-mountain eating options are extensive and the apres ski is superb; Ronnie's, Lodge du Village, Jack's and more.
On the negative side, these qualities have not gone unnoticed so at peak times the slopes can be busy, as can restaurants, and prices are not cheap. That being said, if you plan carefully you can avoid crowded pistes and lift queues and there are always lower priced eating options and plenty of good picnic areas - indoors and outdoors.
Accommodation options are many and varied from high altitude Mottaret to quieter, charming hamlets at lower altitudes.
So much choice, so much quality!
