Les Gets Review Summary

Les Gets is predominantly reviewed by UK visitors, with a strong presence of families, beginners, and intermediate skiers. The resort is consistently praised for being family-friendly, with good ski school options and a charming village atmosphere. Reviewers frequently mention the easy connections to Morzine and Avoriaz, expanding the ski area significantly. The lower altitude is noted across many reviews as a concern, with several users reporting rain, slushy conditions, or limited snow cover, particularly in early or late season. Quieter slopes and minimal lift queues are commonly appreciated, though some note limited après-ski compared to larger resorts.

Great resort for familys. Inerrconected slopes connecting les gets-morzine-avorias, and bejond for expert skiers. Reasonable priced food allover, downside its a low resort so suffers if it warms up. But piests are maintained up to the last of the snow...

Nice resort with plenty of restaurants and bars, but lack of snow security late season. Better options when you get full area lift pass.

We had an amazing time in Les Gets doing a ski season. Les Gets itself is relatively small compared to Morzine and offers a more intimate relaxed vibe while still having plenty of restaurants and bars. The access to the Port Du Soleil ski resort is just amazing, we never got bored even being there for 5 months. I’d highly recommend a day on Monte Chery as it is quieter than the main slopes and has some long black runs and really fun moguls.

I learnt to ski here in 2014. A wonderful place. Although snow in the spring can be slushy, it's connected to morzine which is less in the sun. A great ski area for beginners and advanced alike, family friendly. My brother and I say, on the perfect conditions, this is our favourite place to ski.

A wonderful resort for families or groups, and a first time skiers paradise. Wide open beautiful runs, well connected with Morzine and beyond. Trickier to get over to the Portes de soleil but it can be done with planning which opens up to a whole new incredible ski area

Hidden gem restaurants all over with high quality well priced food. Top tier beautiful mountain restaurant too - spoilt for choice!

Our child had lessons with ESF and they were great and very patient with our little 3 year old.

Skiing was glorious in spring, plenty of snow still ,great weather and well looked after pistes

A great family resort. A vast area to ski. Skiing over to other towns of Morzine and Avoriaz is very easy. Also, you can ski into Switzerland. The Mont Cheri lift is quieter. Great walks over there too. Les Gets houses the Museum of Mechanical Instruments. It will be of interest to any musicians and fans of vinyl and music history. The dairy at Les Fruitieres des Perrieres holds a cheese making demonstration every Wednesday. They have an attached restaurant, which does amazing fondues. Booking in advance is manditory, as it books up very early.
Every Thursday they have an artisan craft fare in the village centre. Morzine village has the best honey shop in the world called Le Comptoir du Miel. They are very generous with their samples and stock honeys from all over the world. On the slopes there is a raptor sanctuary. Owls, vultures, eagles, that fly down the mountain twice daily at L’Aigles de Leman.

Great wee resort in its own right, one hour from Geneva and on the edges of the huge Portes du Soleil system.
Its hidden secret are the almost deserted red and black runs on the quiet side of the resort, have the place almost to yourself mid week

Great family friendly resort that links seamlessly to morzine and into Avoriaz and beyond with the addition of its own separate monte chery for a quieter own private mountain feel ski area. The 1 hour transfer from Geneva is perfect for the long weekender and part of the reason weve been skiing here for over 30 years.

A great resort, with lots to do in town and accommodation options close to the lifts. Main lift is right in the middle of the town, which gives an option to drop down easily for lunch. Additionally there are lots of bars/restaurants on the slopes. Runs are a good variety, and allow you to go with a mixed ability group (we were with complete beginners and we able to go off and ski and get back to them to do some runs together without feeling we were being torn between the two). Staff are amazing on the lifts, and always very helpful.

Les Gets is quite low so we experienced a fair bit of rain. Skied first week of Jan and the slopes were basically empty and had every chairlift to ourselves. Brilliant restaurants on the mountain. Links to morzine and avoriaz too for a huge ski area to go at.
