What Skiers Say About Les Gets

Les Gets is predominantly reviewed by UK visitors, with a strong presence of families, beginners, and intermediate skiers. The resort is consistently praised for being family-friendly, with good ski school options and a charming village atmosphere. Reviewers frequently mention the easy connections to Morzine and Avoriaz, expanding the ski area significantly. The lower altitude is noted across many reviews as a concern, with several users reporting rain, slushy conditions, or limited snow cover, particularly in early or late season. Quieter slopes and minimal lift queues are commonly appreciated, though some note limited après-ski compared to larger resorts.

Snow improved massively in the second half of the week, off piste became really fun. Nice small resort with great public transport options to get around the town

Les Gets is an excellent family friendly resort. The lifts and pistes maintenance are of the highest quality. The domain is well adapted for kids and learners with fun zones for young children 《cowboy and Indian runs and penguins zone over in nearby Morzine). The resort itself had an outdoor ice rink and plenty of lovely bars and restaurants and lovely shops. The office du tourism offers plenty of fun family activities and the new year celebrations were nice and early to suit families with young children. Great skiing for adults too when kids are at ski schools and a great choice of stunning on mountain eating options. The self service ski lift machines means that there is no more queuing at lift office to buy or top up passes. Lift passes are cheaper bought online and easily collected at various convenient locations in resort. Ski equipment from resort shop was fantastic: lightest ski shoes I ve had in years.
Overall a fantastic resort particularly well adapted young families.

Came with our kids aged 12 and 3 and absolutely loved it . Plenty to do for all ages and very family friendly . Myself and my partner have never been skiing and booked in for lessons . Now I can do green be easy blue runs and my partner is on reds! Fantastic vibe , food and drink was not too expensive and delicious. Plenty to do for 3 year old to keep entertained like the kid areas and playgrounds. All staff were very helpful and was not too busy which was perfect for organising getting the whole family on and off the mountain. 10/10 holiday x

Very family friendly resort, we went just after a big dump early so snow was great even in morzine but at the end of the week was a bit icy. Pistes are quiet not too busy- easy access to morzine Avoriaz and the rest of portes du soleil

Les gets is perfect for families, town has many restaurants and takeaways, they have an ice rink and carousel for the kids.

More importantly the runs are amazing, well groomed, trees runs down, didn’t do off piste as the avalanche risk was too high. The lifts are well maintained and easy to use.

We took our 6 year old snowboarding there for the first time and he loved it, great runs for him to practice on.

We love Les gets, also close to morzine and avoriaz so what more could you want!

I have been to Les Gets twice, staying both times in a catered chalet. It’s an excellent resort for families and intermediate skiers. There’s loads or opportunities to easily access other areas such as Morzine.
The standard of the chalets was high and on both occasions met friendly groups of ladies who we joined up with for lessons and lots of laughs in the evenings.

Me and my partner had the best time for 5 days in Les Gets this January. He was still learning to board and the resort had some perfect slopes for that and by the end of the trip he was confidently riding reds. The snow park has something for every level of person and is easy to access. We never queued for a lift the whole time there and the slopes were really quiet (baring in mimd this wasn’t peak season). The food was amazing both on the mountain and in the town. I definitely recommend ‘Le Boomerang’ in the town who have a cool bar and really good tapas. And there is plenty of accommodation types, so no matter your budget you will find something. It’s also a really easy ride from Geneva airport to the resort that’s about 1 hour. I’ve been to Les Gets 3 times now and it’s definitely a fav, you should check it out if you haven’t already.

Second year visiting for 5 days. This time I brought my partner who had never skied before. Plenty of options for lessons and a good range of blue slopes. We stayed in hotel Christiania and honestly could not fault it. Cleanliness, food and staff were brilliant

First trip taking our two younger boys who had never skied before. Excellent short transfer from Geneva via private transfer, 1 hr - brilliant when you’ve got youngsters and only there a few days.

Brilliant beginner runs for them, but I would imagine we would need to ski up to Avoriaz of they were not beginners. Morzine next door as well.

We used the ski schools for a private lesson for them, 2 hrs which meant they could ski with us for the rest of our stay.

Would definitely go back, but as lower altitude need to ensure there is snow.

This was my first ski holiday and it did not disappoint. With pretty limited French I was worried I might struggle but the resort caters to many languages. Our instructor was lovely and all of the lift staff we encountered were super helpful. We loved our stay and caught the ski bug.

This was mine and my partner’s first ski trip. We were looking for somewhere on the cheaper side with beginner friendly slopes and some charm, and Les Gets was great. Not for more experienced skiers I would say, but we would recommend to other beginners!
