What Skiers Say About Les Gets

Les Gets is predominantly reviewed by UK visitors, with a strong presence of families, beginners, and intermediate skiers. The resort is consistently praised for being family-friendly, with good ski school options and a charming village atmosphere. Reviewers frequently mention the easy connections to Morzine and Avoriaz, expanding the ski area significantly. The lower altitude is noted across many reviews as a concern, with several users reporting rain, slushy conditions, or limited snow cover, particularly in early or late season. Quieter slopes and minimal lift queues are commonly appreciated, though some note limited après-ski compared to larger resorts.

Such a welcoming town with something for everyone, whether up for some fun apres, night life or looking for activities for the kids. Decent range and number of slopes with easy access to Morzine to increase your options and to access some excellent free ride zones. Fun run for the kids (and big kids). Could do with better jump park options. Butcher’s in town is epic and the usual cute shops to peruse if the weather less than ideal.

We visited over new year this year. The village is very sweet and very family friendly. They work hard to keep the snow and the slopes in good condition but being so early and warm in the season many runs were closed and the rest quite icy and not enjoyable on the snowboard. There's great access to the wider Portes du Soleil areas like Morzeine, Avoriaz, etc but we didn't have the opportunity venture too far from the kids in the ski school. Maybe next time!

Great resort. Short airport transfers. High so there’s plenty of snow. Loads of blue runs so great for beginners. Almost no lift queues. Plenty places to eat out and the whole town is very walkable thanks to free pedestrian lifts. Great for families and couples and still got options for apres ski.

Good week in Les Gets over the very busy new year period. Although runs were busier earlier in the week, by yesterday slopes were much more enjoyable and lift queues smaller.

For a first time in Les Gets it was nice to enjoy the family environment with luge/sledging a big hit with the kids.

Food options are great and varied. Thankfully not Val D'Isere prices either! Would definitely like to return.

Nice resort, great selection of runs for all ability levels. Plenty of amenities in the town and access to lessons and ski hire if required. During our visit (end of January) we were lucky that it snowed the previous week. Towards the end of our stay it had rained a bit and the slopes were very slushy and lots of green fields under the lifts. Maybe next time we will look at a higher altitude resort. If the snow is plentiful then this is a really good option for a ski trip!

Great ski resort. An hour from Geneva. Family friendly. Great choice of accommodation. Good restaurants. Great ski school. Can be a problem if snowfall is low as it’s a low resort

A fantastic ski resort, we stayed in the centre of town which was only two minutes walk from the lift, ski school was very well organised for the kids and they were plenty of very reasonably priced bars and restaurants to drink and eat in. Have been back every year since. We stayed with chalet mountain and tradition, run by a local French family and we could. It recommend them more highly.

Really enjoyed the milka run at the bottom of one of the slopes, good range of levels of slopes and well maintained with snow blasters when there wasn’t enough snow. Food was great on the mountain and some lovely piste pubs for a pint
