What Skiers Say About Les Arcs

Les Arcs attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from beginners to experts, with intermediate skiers being particularly well-served. Reviewers consistently mention the vast ski area, especially when linked with La Plagne via the Paradiski pass, offering extensive terrain that prevents boredom over a week. The lift system is generally praised for efficiency and minimal queuing, though some mention increased crowds in recent years due to new all-inclusive hotels. Après-ski receives positive feedback, particularly venues like Folie Douce and L'Arpette in Arc 1800. Several users note good value compared to other French resorts, convenient access via funicular from Bourg-St-Maurice, and reliable snow conditions due to altitude. Common criticisms include limited nightlife and restaurant options in some villages (particularly Arc 2000), crowded narrow sections on certain runs, and an abundance of flat connecting tracks that frustrate snowboarders.

We were a mixed group of abilities and the numerous gondolas made the mountain accessible to all.The sunshine slopes of 1800 were appreciated. Lots of nice wide runs for my fairly new skill level

Excellent resort with an abundance of runs. Ski lifts everywhere and most have a choice of different runs that all meet so skiers/boarders can choose different options and still meet at the bottom.Groomed pistes, off-piste to die for (not literally!) wide variety of runs including some excellent (and predominantly empty) tree-lined runs that go on for miles.Excellent routes overtake to Vallandry and a short gondola over to La Plagne where you can explore even more runs!Definitely one of my all time favourite resorts!

Les Arcs is a beautiful resort to ski, everywhere you look youre surrounded by mountains including the iconic Mount Blanc. There are endless options of pistes, ranging from easy blues to natural black runs. Any level of skier should be able to find lots of suitable runs to enjoy. The queues for the lifts are almost non existent (at least in early January), and there are plenty of them. A week feels like a long time to ski the same area if youre a fast skier, but there are so many lifts and options, a week is probably not enough time to ski every piste. If you do manage to though, the area is connected to La Plagne by a cable car, which gives you access to another gigantic ski area. I would definitely recommend Les Arcs.

The Funicular from bourg sucks but after that the resort is great, so much to ski and many great runs higher up. The aiguille rouge was my favourite!

We stayed in 1950 and the village was beautiful. Very picturesque. Our hotel was marked as a 5* but would disagree. However its location was incredible nothing but a 2 minute walk to any bar or restaurants. Ski school picked us up about three minutes from where we were staying and it was great fun. All pistes were amazing and lifts had shelters on them for snow which La Plagne does not. Ski pass and hire were reasonable. Over all incredible trip and would be back there again.

Went there last Frb with family in a catered chalet. Week pass was reasonable, slopes were generally easily accessible untill the sun came out and very clear skies, this brought everyone out the woodwork and slowed alot of the main lifts down.

Huge ski area including La Plagne and Les Arcs in the Paradiski full area pass with quick (3 mins, we timed it) and efficient between the two resorts. Plenty of onslope options for food, many with fairly reasonable prices. Loads of options for apres including a Follie which is always fun. Lifts seem to be pretty efficient and fast. Queues have been minimal (staying 2nd week of Jan). Loads of options for accommodation being a popular resort.Had beautiful weather which has made the trip even better.

Great resort. The big plus points are the size of the resort which offers something for skiers/snowboarders of any ability as well as the high altitude which provides good snow security even in milder periods of weather. Can definitely recommend.

Been to Les Arcs a couple of times with friends and with family. It has lots of great piste and a bit of everything. Apres here is super fun and was not too expensive - assuming you are getting beer and not champagne. Would recommend the folie douche and the igloo bar. It has a great snow park and lots of other lovely cafes dotted around would definitely recommend .
