What Skiers Say About La Plagne

La Plagne attracts primarily beginner and intermediate skiers, with families and mixed-ability groups featuring prominently. Users consistently mention the vast ski area and extensive blue and red runs, plus lift-linked access to Les Arcs via the Paradiski pass. Snow reliability is frequently praised due to high altitude, and the lift system receives positive remarks for efficiency outside peak times. The resort is described as family-friendly and quieter than some alternatives, though multiple reviewers note that nightlife and après options are limited compared to livelier resorts. Queues and crowded pistes are mentioned during school holidays and at certain bottleneck lifts, particularly around Plagne Bellecôte in the afternoon. Food quality on the mountain is generally well-regarded, though prices are noted as high.

The green and blue runs are a nice and slow one to get into if its your first time. Apres ski is great and has a great atmosphere around it. Accommodation was good value for money and includes all the necessities.

I went during february, snow was okay. Towards the end of my trip, the slopes became icy. However the range of blue and red runs for beginners to intermediate skiers was exceptional. Beautiful views and amazing food. However lift queues were large and I was waiting for a long time. Overall a good ski resort, I highly recommend

A nice resort, making up part of a huge ski area, however overall I found it slightly disappointed. The infrastructure ensures riders are all funnelled into the same locations making even supposedly quiet periods feel busy. The facilities are as you would expect in a french resort, excellent but the runs and out of bounds isn't particularly exciting.

La Plagne is an excellent area with a wide variety of skiing for all levels. Accommodation is excellent with quick and easy access to the slopes too. There is also easy access to the slopes and the lift system works amazingly. There is also good access to Les Arcs resort which is amazing to ski around and also has a Folie Douce for extra atmosphere

La Plagne is a great resort for all levels, abilities and styles of skiers. Its offers a family friendly experience but also attracts the most experienced skiers due to its vast variety of terrain. If youre looking for the best après experience then youre best off elsewhere, however if youre there to ski, La plagne doesnt disappoint and there are a few après venues such as La burgerie. Being predominantly above 2000m the snow is often second to none, and the slopes dont tend to be too crowded. The link with Les arcs makes the ski area even bigger for more experienced skiers whilst beginners and intermediates can enjoy a plethora of wide blue and red runs within La plagne itself (can spend a whole day on the blue slopes above Champagny). Would highly recommend to anyone whos looking for a great holiday in a beautiful resort.

La Plagne - Montalbert is a wonderful small village linked to the Paradiski area. It has everything you could wish for. Small village charm with a great choice of eateries and a banging pub for the younger apres seekers or even the older ones reliving their youth! Links to other resorts are on the doorstep and even at super busy (half-term) times it's never a problem to get back to the resort. In short - wonderful!

I stayed in la plagne centre , great position with easy access to the slopes and ski lifts with everything on the doorstep! Lifts were generally quiet , slopes were well groomed, plenty of side piste to explore and runs where you could enjoy little to no people. The lower pistes werent the best due to low snow cover but if you hit them early doors they were great! Snow making facilities plentiful which kept the runs good. Plenty of après opportunities close with friendly atmospheres. A great place all round.

A great high altitude resort offering something for every level of skier. Lots of off-piste opportunities and an efficient lift system. Belle Plagne is perhaps the prettiest of the resort areas to stay at but there is a variety of accomodation options to suit all budgets. We are drawn back here year after year because with the Paradiski lift pass option to link with Les Arc it offers such a huge ski area and as a high altitude resort snow certainty.

Great range of skiing and good lifts.
Some particularly high runs which get great snow.
Loads of accommodation options.
We live in N Ireland so our flight option are limited but we find the resort easily accessible from Geneva and Lyon airpots.
We ski as a family and have skied here with our kids growing up and found at all stages of progressing La Plagne offers all we need from a skiing perspective.
We are not big into apres ski however we found great restaurants and plenty of lunch options on the slopes however we find the cost higher than say Italy.

We have gone to le Plagne for the last 5 years . This year we drove to the resort with 6 passengers and 2 dogs ? yes the dogs really loved the resort . We staid in a Chalet for 10 people which was dog friendly . My niece and her husband met us there with their dog ? . She was a non skier and was our cook for the week plus dog walker who loved the snow . Plus 2 other family members flew in and hired a car for the week to explore the area .
It was great holiday not just for the skiers, but our 2 non skiers as there is plenty to do but most of time ending up in the bars.
Le Plagne is a vast skiing area with all sorts of runs we had a Ski in Ski out chalet which saved on the walking with boots . In our party we had 2 snow boarders .
We are going to book again this year with another 5 people wanting to join the party last year they went to Finland with limited skiing ,they have 3 kids so we are looking to book in February half term .

La plagne is a fairly big resort, so it has a good mix of runs so whether you are a beginner or intermediate skier/snowboarder, there is something for everyone, the lifts are all fairly new and efficient.

What I really like about La Plagne is its laid-back vibe. Its not as flashy as some other resorts, but thats part of its charm. The villages are cozy, and there are some good places to eat and unwind after a day on the slopes. It can get crowded during peak times, but its still easy to find quieter spots if you venture off the main runs.

Overall, its a solid choice for families or anyone looking for a well-rounded ski experience without the hype of more tourist-heavy resorts.
