What Skiers Say About La Plagne

La Plagne attracts primarily beginner and intermediate skiers, with families and mixed-ability groups featuring prominently. Users consistently mention the vast ski area and extensive blue and red runs, plus lift-linked access to Les Arcs via the Paradiski pass. Snow reliability is frequently praised due to high altitude, and the lift system receives positive remarks for efficiency outside peak times. The resort is described as family-friendly and quieter than some alternatives, though multiple reviewers note that nightlife and après options are limited compared to livelier resorts. Queues and crowded pistes are mentioned during school holidays and at certain bottleneck lifts, particularly around Plagne Bellecôte in the afternoon. Food quality on the mountain is generally well-regarded, though prices are noted as high.

We've been here several times and although t's gotten busier over years it has been wonderful every time. The area lets you travel a long way and has bars on the snow. It's not the cheapest for food but worth it. It won't be our last time.

Have done 2 seasons in the resort now. Very well priced compared to surrounding area. Actual ski area is very large and great its linked with les arc. Eating out is a little limited but good.

Snow park has majorly improved this season due to new management.

Overall very good resort would recommend to a friend.

La Plagne has it all, with various resorts about it really hits the nail on the head and guarantees you an excellent week of skiing wherever you go. Has everything from good ski schools, great restaurants and decent apres scene to round itself off as one of the best. Even with links to Les Arcs you can cover a lot in a week here.

Ive been to la plagne about five times now, usually stay in Belle plagne, I love this resort but the lift queues spoil it a lot Plagne centre and Bellecotte are bottle necks and queues can be 30 mins in feb half term. Once up on the mountain the slopes are long and wide and well groomed and worth the queues. The glacier is lovely. Belle plagne is quiet and really pretty so is les coches. The area is snow sure with great ski in ski out.

La Plagne is a huge ski resort offering a huge variety of runs for all levels of riders. It is great for both families and young adults by offering lovely restaurants aswell as great apres bars. The snow is very good and although it can be busy, due to the size it isnt as bad.

Our Family has been going to La Plagne for the last 12 years (usually Plagne 1800 - but have stayed at other stations on occasions). Both La Plagne and Les Arcs other great family skiing for all levels. We have put the kids through both ESF and Oxygene ski schools (the latter being abit more expensive but offer so much more, when the kids were very small it was hard getting them to lesson at Plagne centre from 1800 - but Oxygene provided a FREE taxi shuttle service to whatever hotel we stayed at - they would even take us back to the hotel no matter what time of day it was)

Good resort, although slopes were a bit moghully towards the end of the day, coming into Belle Plagne and Plagne Bellecote.
The tunnel rough was a highlight for an intermediate.
Good range of accommodation, although in the village we stayed the food and drink options were somewhat limited.
Would visit again,

La Plagne is excellent. Their glaciers make it super fun for skiing early/late in the season - some challenging runs off the top of there too. Apré life is excellent. Lots of bars and restaurants to relax at of an afternoon/evening. Would definitely recommend!

Better than Zermatt. I have a soft spot for LA Plagne because it was my first ever ski trip and where I fell in love.

Very similar to its sister resort of Les Arcs, there's very few negatives to give. It's a huge, beautiful resort with generally great weather, an abundance of lifts and pistes, budget accommodation if you need it (cramped and old but if you're on a budget who cares, you're here to ski) and very few head aches.

Ski non stop for an hour in beautiful sunshine, have a hot chocolate, and repeat. I'd go here again in a heartbeat.

Having both holiday and lived in this resort, I have to say that at either end of the season it is a great option for all levels, so many options for the young, the old, the old youngsters and families

Apres is excellent, food options all over the mountain are excellent.

Only down side is that as it is so damn popular, you will be lucky to get quiet days in peak.

That said all la plagne staff are pros, truly attentive and unlike other resorts look happy to be doing there work.

Will always consider laplagne as option 1 for our group ski holiday as it truly caters to all

Went for a week skiing with my son. A perfect place to go plenty of blue and red runs to challenge him and give him lots of confidence. Looking at the resort you can see it is the perfect place to bring a family of all abilities.

Great resort with slopes for all levels. It was quite busy in March but you could always find a quieter slope further up the mountain. I will 100% visit again. It had plenty to do and the snow was brilliant everyday with it being a higher up resort.

Really great resort with plenty of runs ranging in levels. Good choice of restaurants, I would say its more family friendly so for groups of friends there are resorts with more night out options, bars etc. but the skiing is great, you can also access les arcs for even more options if needed. Lots of ski schools and accommodation options - lots with ski in ski out access
