What Skiers Say About La Plagne
La Plagne attracts primarily beginner and intermediate skiers, with families and mixed-ability groups featuring prominently. Users consistently mention the vast ski area and extensive blue and red runs, plus lift-linked access to Les Arcs via the Paradiski pass. Snow reliability is frequently praised due to high altitude, and the lift system receives positive remarks for efficiency outside peak times. The resort is described as family-friendly and quieter than some alternatives, though multiple reviewers note that nightlife and après options are limited compared to livelier resorts. Queues and crowded pistes are mentioned during school holidays and at certain bottleneck lifts, particularly around Plagne Bellecôte in the afternoon. Food quality on the mountain is generally well-regarded, though prices are noted as high.

Never seems to get that busy, with minimal to no que at the lifts.
Highly recommend to families.
It’s our favourite ski area.
Apres at Bergerie bar was very fun and food was amazing at our hotel (Terra Nova).
We were lucky to arrive after a big dump of snow and that just made it even better.
Enormous choice of runs. Great on piste and in resort apres. Fabulous lift network.
Have skied Morzine a few times and been to avoiriaz for one day while staying in Morzine. Would love to see more of it.
La plagne has lots of lovely restaurants, ski in ski out. Great for families and lots of non ski activities
The lifts are brilliantly run, but there are occasionally long queues to move between certain areas.
Food and drink is predictably costly. But there are always some reasonable places to be found. Plagne Centre has a number of restaurants that will give you a meal for €20. There are plenty of shops to stock up on beers.
Lots of fun spots to discover, and would definitely suggest going to Les Arcs as well!
