What Skiers Say About La Plagne

La Plagne attracts primarily beginner and intermediate skiers, with families and mixed-ability groups featuring prominently. Users consistently mention the vast ski area and extensive blue and red runs, plus lift-linked access to Les Arcs via the Paradiski pass. Snow reliability is frequently praised due to high altitude, and the lift system receives positive remarks for efficiency outside peak times. The resort is described as family-friendly and quieter than some alternatives, though multiple reviewers note that nightlife and après options are limited compared to livelier resorts. Queues and crowded pistes are mentioned during school holidays and at certain bottleneck lifts, particularly around Plagne Bellecôte in the afternoon. Food quality on the mountain is generally well-regarded, though prices are noted as high.

Very well groomed pistes. Very good for all standards. Challenging blacks and long wide blues. Several excellent snowparks. Lift pass price at approx 70euro per day which is on a par with all the other resorts.
Never seems to get that busy, with minimal to no que at the lifts.
Highly recommend to families.

We stayed in Belle Plagne. Nice quiet ski in ski out village with easy access onto the slopes around La Plagne and Les Arc. Lots of nice flowing blues with infinite opportunity for off piste shenanigans. Life system is efficient and easy to navigate. La Bergerie boom boom bar is well worth a visit around 3pm.

We used to ski all the smaller resorts but now return to La Plagne every year for its size and variety of slopes in one area.
It’s our favourite ski area.

Main parts of the resort very busy and blue runs to get home were churned up by beginners and essentially horrendous mogul fields with fallen skiers lying everywhere. Made it very difficult to ski whilst piloting a disabled dual ski which was the whole purpose of our trip. Most lifts very accommodating for the sit skis.
Apres at Bergerie bar was very fun and food was amazing at our hotel (Terra Nova).

La Plagne is a fantastic family friendly resort for skiers of all abilities. There pistes were in imacculate condition and plenty off piste too. Ski schools are great. I wish the had more for park skiers though, I found you had to go to Les arcs for a proper ski park. Great restaurants and bars. Would definitely go again.

La Plagne has everything. We love it.
We were lucky to arrive after a big dump of snow and that just made it even better.

Stunning place. We love La Plagne. We have been 5 times in a row while our boys have learnt to ski. We r now going to be trying different resorts now they have finished their ESF lessons.

We stayed in Plagne 1800. Excellent choice of lift starts in the morning. Close to pool, supermarket, bus stops and bars. Mega ski area in its own right and double that when you combine with Les Arcs. So much variety of terrrain and excellent Apres at La Bergerie (get there early - it shuts way before your standard Apres as you have to be able to ski down!). Go to Montalbert for amazing lunchtime pizza at Zebra

Great resort for ski in and out accommodation, lots of choice of catered chalets, very good lifts that have been upgraded from slow 4 person to 6 person chairs and gondolas, lots of very nice runs for all levels of abilities, many mountain bars and restaurants to stop for refreshments, very large skiing area and linked with Lec Arc by the Vanouse express double decker cable car, I asked my now wife to marry me here and she said yes … so this resort has a special place in our hearts …

La Plagne is a great option especially for mixed groups - snow sure with varied runs and terrain for all levels of confidence. It can get busy in school holidays but name a resort which doesn’t!

Massive ski area with something to please everyone.
The lifts are brilliantly run, but there are occasionally long queues to move between certain areas.
Food and drink is predictably costly. But there are always some reasonable places to be found. Plagne Centre has a number of restaurants that will give you a meal for €20. There are plenty of shops to stock up on beers.

Decent resort all in all. Great place for those who are learning how to explore the mountain. Fairly quiet village and town scene, if that matters to you.
Lots of fun spots to discover, and would definitely suggest going to Les Arcs as well!
