Kitzbühel Review Summary

Kitzbühel attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with reviewers consistently praising the extensive ski area, modern lift infrastructure with heated seats, and well-groomed pistes. The resort is noted for its charming old town, quality on-mountain restaurants, and vibrant après-ski scene, particularly at venues like The Londoner. However, the low altitude means snow conditions can be unreliable, with many reviewers reporting icy slopes and dependence on artificial snowmaking. The resort is repeatedly described as expensive for accommodation, dining, and drinks, though some find the quality justifies the cost.

I love Kitzhubel, I visited at Easter and the snow was decent. The lifts are very luxurious with heated seats and leather chairs. The pistes are very well maintained with different pistes for each skill level. There is Wi-Fi all across the whole resort which surprised me. There is a lot of off piste terrain which is great. The resort is not too high however there are still nice and long runs. You can ski on a piste that was used for the Winter Olympics downhill race which was very challenging. There is a lot of choice for the apres ski and the prices are quite good with a pint of lager costing me 5 euros. Overall I rate this resort 4.5 out of 5 and I definitely reccomend it to anybody.

A lot narrower pistes than youd be likely to get in france. Really ornate, pretty village. I wouldnt recommend it for a first timer, but any confident skier will have an amazing time here. There werent too many apres ski options that we were aware of, although my whole party were so tired after skiing. One day, we had a partial whiteout and a lot of lifts were closed but it was really good they managed to keep a few open so we could still utilise our holiday.
