Overall, Kitzbühel is a lovely place with a large ski resort and some of the best lift systems Ive seen.
Looking for the best time for snow, look to go mid January to early February.
The decent down the mountain at the end of the day is what I enjoy the most. If able, you can ski down the whole Streif, but the descent is designed for all abilities.
The range of Alms on display is serious. There are many huts where you can have lunch but the best has go to be Berghaus Tirol. Views here are unbeatable and the Kaiserschmarrn is delicious.
Heading into town for apres take stops at OFlannigans, The Londoner, Take Five and the KitznBar.
Overall Kitzbühel is a 8/10, being let down by its expensive side.

My experience was exceptional, all of the runs are fantastic and the whole place is filled with things to do theres a water park countless restaurants you can go shopping and the food is unrivalled, off and on the pistes .I can say with all my heart that the skiing here is great more than 2 mountains to ski and great staff and vibes. Honestly just a great experience

Very famous resort but for a good reason. It has something for everyone.
I went during a period of very heavy snowfall and found some of the best powder Ive ever experienced.

Ive been to Kitzbuhel a few times, its great for experts, lots of steep groomed runs, amazing party town, definitely get down to the Londoner and see the short and curleys

A beautiful resort that has plenty to offer in terms of skiing and evenings old. Great public facilities (e.g swimming pool). Excellent for skiers who are intermediate and advanced. Really friendly people with a classy vibe. Some affordable, boutique family run hotels that are worth considering if you dont go chalet - we stayed in one. Highly recommended! Hahnenkamm is an extra special treat to ski!

Having visited Kitzbuhel in the summer of 2003, we finally got around to arranging a ski trip during February half term of 2005. Thanks to the first lift to last light skiing and the Apres bars, we pretty much didnt sober up for the entire week! But what a week! The lift system has come on by a country mile since then. Almost every lift has been replaced by super-fast heated 8-seaters and, finally, last season saw the final major drag lift (T-bar) replaced on the Ski Safari over to Millersal. The Super Ski pass (rather than the local pass) opens up a plethora of resorts in the surrounding area as well as the famous Ski Welt, a vast area to the north west of Kitz all of which a competent skier can explore easily from Kitz and still make last lift back to Kitzbuhel. A must if visiting is to take on The Streif, the world famous downhill run on the Hahnenkamm mountain. If you visit early February, you will find it in the best condition. Any time before that, it may be shut for preparation for the Alpine Ski World Cup. Fear not though, there is a Red run that trace the piste leaving out the major sections but passes close enough to them to appreciate the frightening prospect that the pros have to face.
Top tip: The Londoner is good; Flanagans is cheaper and quieter (my favourite)

Kitzbuhel is a famous town with lots of history and a playboy town. My father lived here for 5 years and my mother came for a ski trip met my father and I was made. The Londoner pub has been here for nearly 50 years

Kitzbuhel is a fabulous town and resort. Ive been going for the 30 years and will keep going. Apres is good and the Londoner is fabulous pub.

Kitzbuhel offers everything you ever wanted in a ski resort. Alpine charm, medieval town, great lift system. You can easily ski all over the SkiWelt from Kitzbuhel.

There is a good mix of easy and difficult runs to keep all skiers happy. It probably isnt quite so good for snowboarding as there is a few traverses between areas.

Apres ski options are varied from rowdy bars to quiet family-run restaurants, even a McDonalds if youre so inclined. The on-slope restaurants are atmospheric with a good choice of cafeteria and table service to suit your budget.

Absolutely amazing resort. Faultless ski lifts. Nothing but the best and no queues when we went in January and we were very lucky to have the best of skiing conditions

Kitzbühel was coming to its end of the season when I visited so not all runs were open. However the runs that were open were well groomed, quiet and good ski. The slopes were very quiet apart from the two ski schools. My children took lessons - and progressed well. Facilities were super clean and food reasonable priced.

I have visited Kitzbühel twice now. It is an amazing resort, the standard of the lifts and the slopes are unrivalled in Austria.

The apres ski is great (especially The Londoner) and the food options are good.

It is pricey but as is to be expected at a resort of this calibre. I would highly recommend skiing the Horn side of the resort as it is often quieter and the slopes are nicely groomed.

For me, personally, I wasnt a fan of this resort, it seemed more like a status, expensive cars, many people not really there for the skiing, more for the show and the Apree was very minimal, but the skiing was quite good and many good touring routes in the area as well and some interesting sites and castles within the area to also go and see with the James Bond museum not far away to. I personally wouldnt recommend skiing here.

Kitzbuhel is a cosmopolitan town around 60 minutes transfer from Salzburg. The town has much to offer including upmarket shopping and dining facilities. Good value for money bars and restaurants are available for those in a budget.
The skiiing area is large and accessible via lifts in the town centre.
Huge variety of on piste slopes for all abilities. The highest piste is circa 2500 meters and the village is around 800 meters.
The resort is also the home of the most famous downhill run, the Hahnenkamm.
Highly recommend this resort as it offers something for all abilities of skier and those who want budget to high end accommodation.

A chocolate box town, great skiing. The horn is good too and more chilled but my favourite days would be to ski to pass turn or all the way to Brixen with the Tyrol card and get the train back. Some wonderful runs and lovely mountain huts.
