Kitzbühel attracts predominantly advanced and expert skiers, with reviewers consistently praising the extensive ski area, modern lift infrastructure with heated seats, and well-groomed pistes. The resort is noted for its charming old town, quality on-mountain restaurants, and vibrant après-ski scene, particularly at venues like The Londoner. However, the low altitude means snow conditions can be unreliable, with many reviewers reporting icy slopes and dependence on artificial snowmaking. The resort is repeatedly described as expensive for accommodation, dining, and drinks, though some find the quality justifies the cost.

Kitzbuhel offers everything you ever wanted in a ski resort. Alpine charm, medieval town, great lift system. You can easily ski all over the SkiWelt from Kitzbuhel.
There is a good mix of easy and difficult runs to keep all skiers happy. It probably isnt quite so good for snowboarding as there is a few traverses between areas.
Apres ski options are varied from rowdy bars to quiet family-run restaurants, even a McDonalds if youre so inclined. The on-slope restaurants are atmospheric with a good choice of cafeteria and table service to suit your budget.

Absolutely amazing resort. Faultless ski lifts. Nothing but the best and no queues when we went in January and we were very lucky to have the best of skiing conditions

Kitzbühel was coming to its end of the season when I visited so not all runs were open. However the runs that were open were well groomed, quiet and good ski. The slopes were very quiet apart from the two ski schools. My children took lessons - and progressed well. Facilities were super clean and food reasonable priced.

I have visited Kitzbühel twice now. It is an amazing resort, the standard of the lifts and the slopes are unrivalled in Austria.
The apres ski is great (especially The Londoner) and the food options are good.
It is pricey but as is to be expected at a resort of this calibre. I would highly recommend skiing the Horn side of the resort as it is often quieter and the slopes are nicely groomed.

For me, personally, I wasnt a fan of this resort, it seemed more like a status, expensive cars, many people not really there for the skiing, more for the show and the Apree was very minimal, but the skiing was quite good and many good touring routes in the area as well and some interesting sites and castles within the area to also go and see with the James Bond museum not far away to. I personally wouldnt recommend skiing here.

Kitzbuhel is a cosmopolitan town around 60 minutes transfer from Salzburg. The town has much to offer including upmarket shopping and dining facilities. Good value for money bars and restaurants are available for those in a budget. The skiiing area is large and accessible via lifts in the town centre. Huge variety of on piste slopes for all abilities. The highest piste is circa 2500 meters and the village is around 800 meters. The resort is also the home of the most famous downhill run, the Hahnenkamm. Highly recommend this resort as it offers something for all abilities of skier and those who want budget to high end accommodation.

A chocolate box town, great skiing. The horn is good too and more chilled but my favourite days would be to ski to pass turn or all the way to Brixen with the Tyrol card and get the train back. Some wonderful runs and lovely mountain huts.

Apres is virtually non existent other than a few small bars in the town (as far as I could tell, nothing on the slopes) but resort was very quiet when we visited in March last year and generally no queues for the lifts. Not a huge ski area but good for learners and potentially worth a visit in peak season if you are looking for emptier slopes and are less fussed about the apres scene - the town is small but very pretty (if not lively).

Good opportunities for off-piste runs into the valley. Easy to get back by bus and lift. Versatile resort: freeride, slopes, party but also solitude. Everything is easily accessible within a few kilometers. Due to the huge size, hardly any descent has to be made more than once. The only drawback now is that due to the relatively low altitude, it is no longer as snow-sure as other areas in the high mountains.

Working as a ski instructor in Kitzbühel was an amazing experience. There are loads of really long pistes perfect for carving. As well as good off-piste runs and a great snow park. It can get very busy at times but this is only during peak season and it makes après all the more enjoyable.

The Ressort is very nice for Skier WHO want Relax and for Skier they want to go faster on the slopes. But when you want to go Park skiing there is a nice little Park that called ,,PassthurnSnowpark'' its in Jochberg. But in Kitzbühel is a nice big Airbag since last year I'ts overall a nice ski Ressort for advanced Skier but also for beginners.

The kitzski area is amazing, the scenery is beautiful and the diversity of the runs is unbearable. I recommend staying in kirchberg in tirol, it's better value for money than in kitzbuhel itself, sports equipment hire has to be at SPORTRUDI, they are by far the best for high quality equipment and have great experience. The apres ski in the area is unmatched and there are too many good places to recommend just one, but skihutte oberkaser has to be one of the best for on mountain apres. There are tonnes of good options for dining and something for everyone, restaurant Daxer, pfeffermuhle and hotel bechlwirt are some of the best. There are options for night skiing on the gaisberg and also rodelbahn day and night, I recommend going at night and stopping in by the obergaisberg restaurant for a quick meal on your way down. The runs are normally groomed nightly unless there is a dump of fresh powder, they leave the powder on the runs, when this happens make sure you get up on the mountain early before the moguls build up. Whether you are a beginner or a well seasoned skiier, the kitzski area has something for you.

Great resort, even with not enough snow the runs are well groomed. Views are fantastic from almost everywhere. Lots of great lifts with ongoing improvements. Can be very busy due to such good transport links to the rest of Austria and south Germany. Would recommend for intermediate + skiers. Particularly good for advanced skiers.
