What Skiers Say About Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain attracts a wide range of visitors from beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers highlighting it as the largest and most accessible resort in Southern Ontario, particularly for those travelling from Toronto and the GTA. The village at the base receives consistent praise for its atmosphere, dining options, and additional activities beyond skiing. Reviewers repeatedly mention that weekdays offer a much better experience than weekends, when lift queues become significantly longer and crowds impact enjoyment. Snow conditions are variable, with artificial snowmaking maintaining coverage but reviewers frequently noting icy patches and limited natural powder. Pricing is a common criticism, with many users stating lift tickets, food, and accommodation are expensive relative to what the resort offers compared to larger destinations.

Good resort , mostly suitable for daily trips.
Many lifts from bottom to top.
The price for ski pass is quite expensive in comparison to European resorts of the same size

A bit icy today after a rain storm two days ago but their newer snow making guns seem quite efficient but they blast you in the goggles which was almost blinding at times. I get they need to make snow but it was annoying. A few lift operators were organizing lift lines at busier lifts which helped improve lift line efficiency. Overall a nice village with good eatery options.

Was a good day because I went with friends but the hill itself is very icy. Would be better if more groomed or more snow fall.

One of the more popular ski hills in Ontario Canada. Mountain is small, so its for learning and practice before heading out to British Columbia or a country with a bigger hill.

Super busy especially on holidays and weekends. Greens are very crowded with new skiiers but blues and blacks are better.

Family friendly ski resort with a nice ambient. Large village offers many options to dine or entertainment. Cobblestone walkways gives historical theme. Grand hotels at foothills are quite expensive

I felt this ski resort has too many beginners to be enjoyable for someone who is an avid skier. Especially if you are teaching your own kids to ski. It’s too bad because, I do think it’s well designed and a great place to visit. We were even able to have lunch at our accommodations while skiing which makes family
Ski days more affordable.

Had a lot of fun at Blue and will be back! Beaver Tails at the top of the hill is a huge plus. The meals are okay but the snacks and treats are great. Lot's of parking, easy to get your passes/rentals and get your days started quickly. Hills are super accessible from the village accommodations. Decent range of runs for Ontario.

A good local resort here that has efficient lifts, well groomed trails, with a fun village atmosphere. Weekends are way too busy - I’d recommend going out during the week. Great night skiing as well with 31 runs. Sunday night skiing is also advantageous as weekend crowds dissipate!

runs are really choppy, lots of dug up snow and bumps that make it very difficult to pick up any speed without being sent flying. RARELY if ever groomed properly. lift lines are usually very fast, never waited longer than 5-10 mins. lots of options for dining and drinks. not many organized afters, let alone actually fun ones. there are pubs in the village you can go to though
