What Skiers Say About Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain attracts a wide range of visitors from beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers highlighting it as the largest and most accessible resort in Southern Ontario, particularly for those travelling from Toronto and the GTA. The village at the base receives consistent praise for its atmosphere, dining options, and additional activities beyond skiing. Reviewers repeatedly mention that weekdays offer a much better experience than weekends, when lift queues become significantly longer and crowds impact enjoyment. Snow conditions are variable, with artificial snowmaking maintaining coverage but reviewers frequently noting icy patches and limited natural powder. Pricing is a common criticism, with many users stating lift tickets, food, and accommodation are expensive relative to what the resort offers compared to larger destinations.

Went with a buddy for a 2 day, 1 night ski trip. Didn't break the bank and lots of different food close by. My friend was more of a beginner and it was our first time back on the slopes for the season so we couldn't enjoy the whole mountain together. That being said as long as you're comfortable skiing blues you should be able to travers the whole mountain. Overall was a great time but we definitely should've went somewhere with easier trails to get back into the swing of things.

Blue Mountain is a good option for mid season riding, but early in the season they do t get a lot of snow and dont have much open. its a pretty big hill so theres a lot of quiet runs, theres terrain for all different levels of skiing. terrain park could be better, if youre looking for terrain parks i recommend Mount St. Louis Moonstone.

More of a Hill has quite a few food options and pubs, but is very crowded on a small hill so can get too busy on limited runs

The views were absolutely beautiful! However, I was disappointed when I went to purchase refreshments and discovered they only took credit cards. Thankfully I had a little cash in my wallet! Be sure you pack your credit card when you choose this experience. If you are there in the summer or early fall, take the hike past the gondola. You will love the beautiful views!

I love skiing at Blue Mountain. I am a very beginning skier but I feel very comfortable at Blue Mountain. The ski school teachers are very kind and patient with me. The bunny hills very very well groomed. The lifts always seem to be functional everytime I am there.

The resort offers great dining and accommodations. The shops are high priced but your there for a treat anyways.

Can be quite busy during the season for pass holders. Parking lot tends to fill up quickly. They need more food options.

Been to Blue to ski and also stay at their resort. The slopes are mediocre, but there's lots to do on site. Rooms are nice and clean. Nordic spa is great!

The most iconic ski resort in Eastern Canada, the bang for your buck value may not be there, but the aesthetics and overall quality of the ski resort is pretty top tier. Love the black runs and they do have some double diamonds that Ive heard are really nice.

For a smaller mountain Blue Mountain manages to find the proper balance of terrain for everyone. Certain aspects are limited due to size and area, limited amounts of tree runs and low amounts of powder are an example. The village area at blue mountain is great for those coming from out of town to stay, and to explore for those not wanting to spend all their time on the slopes, having ample shopping, dining and accommodation options. The proximity to large cities such as Toronto also means that it is an easy spot for day/weekend trips without large plans or hassle.

Fun and large variety of terrain. Park is amazing and well built. Can be a little busy at times but with night skiing and fast lifts it balances out. Good resort overall.

Been skiing here for 18 years and it has become more of a tourist/family resort. They have recently stopped doing afternoon grooming making night skiing much more difficult and less enjoyable.

My experience with this resort has been great. I have had a great time going out and about throughout the village with my friends but the hills are the star of the show. Throughout the hills the have many different varieties of terrain. From the many terrain parks to tree runs and groomed racing runs anyone can have a great time. They also offer great night skiing/snowboarding opportunities. Overall if your looking for a great time with family or friends I highly recommend otherwise if your looking for something to master skills I wouldnt really recommend because as it is public there are many inexperienced people on the hills.

I have been there just once. I found it really crowd free. A lot of fun for family. Very good accommodation however, I was not very happy with the food. Health and safety was up to high levels.
