What Skiers Say About Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain attracts a wide range of visitors from beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers highlighting it as the largest and most accessible resort in Southern Ontario, particularly for those travelling from Toronto and the GTA. The village at the base receives consistent praise for its atmosphere, dining options, and additional activities beyond skiing. Reviewers repeatedly mention that weekdays offer a much better experience than weekends, when lift queues become significantly longer and crowds impact enjoyment. Snow conditions are variable, with artificial snowmaking maintaining coverage but reviewers frequently noting icy patches and limited natural powder. Pricing is a common criticism, with many users stating lift tickets, food, and accommodation are expensive relative to what the resort offers compared to larger destinations.

A busy place with good conditions if there has been a snow fall. Tends to get icy but the overall atmosphere of the village with the restaurants, accommodation option etc. Is great. Great for families, couples or singles - something to do for everyone!

Lift tickets are very expensive for the quality of the resort. Over crowded by weekend warriors

Village has lots of dinning options. And bars for apres.

Good place for families and beginners. Fun for the whole family

Ive been going to blue Mountain since I was a kid and for the most part the slopes are pretty good, but it would be nice to have an Apres and maybe some more tree runs. Also, it would also be nice to have a chalet on top of the mountain as well as at the bottom

Great east coast skiing at BM. They have a lift dedicated to purely black runs only. Lately, there have been a lot of visitors which makes it a busy resort. If you're looking for quiet runs, then suggest you look elsewhere!

Blue is a great resort if you like being seen in snow gear and taking selfies in snow gear. For actual riding, less so.

Went skiing here with a group of friends about 3 days ago. Was not too busy considering start of the season. Very nice blue runs for intermediate skippers + runs that go through trees which I enjoyed. I suggest purchasing lift tickets and rental equipment online to avoid any lines in person. Overall great experience would visit again

Blue mountain is a fantastic resort. Unfortunately, the pricing to enjoy all its amenities is a lot for a group who wants to experience it all. Additionally, their apres at the top of the hill is super cool and should be utilized more. It definitely has a lot of potential and should have events up there with an actually dj. I think every Saturday they should get a dj up there to bring in a crowd!

Frequently visited on school trips several years ago. Not much elevation and is on the smaller side. Went in February and often had more grass, slush, or ice than snow to ski over. Can be a fun hill if its a cold enough season to keep the snow. Nice accommodations, shops, and food.

Blue Mountain is a very beautiful resort, and an amazing place for skiers and non-skiers alike.

For skiers, there are a variety of runs for all ski levels. The views are breathtaking, and the quality of the runs are amazing. It is very well maintained, and very efficient. The pricing is also not too bad.

For non-skiers, there are many other activities available at the resort, including skating, snowboarding, hiking, and zip lining. There is also lots of shopping in the area, so theres plenty to keep everyone busy and entertained!

The dining and hotel options are also amazing. There are restaurants of every kind, from world class to casual, and treats to enjoy after a long day of skiing. The hotels are all very well priced and very comfortable and well run.
