What Skiers Say About Blue Mountain

Blue Mountain attracts a wide range of visitors from beginners through to advanced skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers highlighting it as the largest and most accessible resort in Southern Ontario, particularly for those travelling from Toronto and the GTA. The village at the base receives consistent praise for its atmosphere, dining options, and additional activities beyond skiing. Reviewers repeatedly mention that weekdays offer a much better experience than weekends, when lift queues become significantly longer and crowds impact enjoyment. Snow conditions are variable, with artificial snowmaking maintaining coverage but reviewers frequently noting icy patches and limited natural powder. Pricing is a common criticism, with many users stating lift tickets, food, and accommodation are expensive relative to what the resort offers compared to larger destinations.

Great Resort its proximity to one of the worlds biggest cities but it is inherently.quite a small mountain. You make up for it with a good group of friends and just making the most of it.

I have been going to blue mountain since I was 10. The price since has doubled and the resort has expanded... now there is a village and a acres ski option. Great for youth. If you ski early in the day the runs are great and the lineups not too long. After lunch it gets crowded. Over all its the biggest hill in the toronto area.

Blue Mountain is the most popular hill in Ontario, it is also one of the few ones with an actual ski village at the base so if that is important to you then this is really your only option. The pists are about average and the equipment is ok. To me Blue is more of a resort ski destination than a casual ski for the day affair. My main gripe with Blue is the pricing. (I should note that theyre part of the ikon pass)

Blue mountain is as best as it gets skiing in Ontario. Its not a great hill if you already know how to ski or board, but its good if you have small children whom you wish to teach how to ride. If you only like the terrain park, its okay too.

Although blue mountain is a little on the pricier side, it makes up for it with great hills and beautiful scenery. Would recommend for anyone.

It was very busy long lines and over crowded. It was very expensive. Will not return. Long waiting at the restaurants and everything was overpriced. It was not the time and money worth.

Great ski resort for family and friends. Prices are a little expensive considering how busy the lift lines are. Was disappointed with the apres ski, not the greatest options. Food and drink is quite expensive but there was some good deals at the Cesar bar. Would go back, maybe just at a less busy time

Honestly its a good place to go to for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiing. If you are an expert like myself than you will find the runs small and short. But overall its a good place to ski. 4/5

Blue mountain is a very fun hill, Ive been skiing there all my life and the only complaint is the lift lines. Their runs are often well groomed and there is a great variety from beginner to advanced skier. There isnt a ton of off piste terrain but for a spot in Ontario the mountain does the job of being a good ski spot. I recommend it to anyone looking to try skiing or snowboarding. They have great lessons and the village is full of activities and good food.

Beautiful resort. Like a mini Whistler. Great hotels and restaurants. Very expensive and a little too busy. ( we had to actually wait our turn to go down a run). Fun for a mini getaway or a changeOf scenery. Wouldnt buy a pass here tho. Just too busy!!

Had a great day up there. Very busy on weekends but all lifts were running. As a beginner I found it to have a lot of options for me with good instructors, but perhaps not enough of a challenge for more experienced riders.

Wonderful groomed hills, lots of different trails. I enjoy going during the week since its less busy. The hotel rooms are great, clean and comfortable. We enjoy many different pubs and restaurants throughout the Blue Mountain Village. Family friendly and great for couples.
