What Skiers Say About Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb attracts skiers and snowboarders across all ability levels, from beginners to experts. Reviewers consistently praise the massive skiable terrain across two mountains, the variety of runs including off-piste and tree skiing, and the efficient lift system connecting Whistler and Blackcomb via the Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Snow conditions are frequently mentioned as variable, with several users noting rain at lower elevations, icy patches, and inconsistent coverage depending on the season. The resort is repeatedly described as expensive, with high costs for lift tickets, accommodation, food, and dining both on and off the mountain. Lift queues, particularly on weekends and peak times, are a common complaint, with waits of 20-40 minutes reported at busy periods.

Expensive but worth it. Accommodations are probably the thing that's going to eat into your budget the most - the only budget hotels in the area are the Pangea Pod Hotel and the hostel. The hostel is great but really far out from the slopes, you need to take a city bus in which can be annoying in your gear. Plus everyone else is hauling their gear too. The pod hotel is right in the village but you also only have a bed and that's it. Personally I prefer the pod hotel for the proximity.Skiing is out of this world. Both peaks have different feels. My preference is Blackcomb but there's so much to do on both, both on and off piste. My fav run is Peak to Creek on Whistler cause it's a really meditative easy run that really goes straight from the top to bottom. Took me about 30 mins. However DON'T take it unless it's recently snowed, it's never groomed so tends to ice really easily. And there's no way off, so if it's ice then you just gotta take the ice the whole way down.

Whistler/Blackcomb is one of the most fun ski/snowboard trips Ive ever experienced!Went late season 24 and it was an absolute blast!!!The snow was fantastic with tons of powder! The resorts are mostly all right at or around base camp area, the restaurants and people all fantastic, and the après ski at Longhorns is THE MOST FUN!Do yourself a favor and book the trip!

Whistler is a great ski town with lots of amenities but it is far too expensive! The on mountain food has gotten better but it still way too expensive for what you get. Once Vail took over it has gone downhill! This year there are way less hotel bookings which has been good for out of towners. The day pass costs are exponential and not worth it being a mountain that closes before dusk. Overall the vastness of both mountains is great and if you go with a local you can get to the off piste areas that arent on the maps! Ive been riding Whistler/Blackcomb for 37 years. Its my local mountain, but there are definitely better and more affordable hills out there!

I LOVE WHISTLER!!!!!! Even though it's super expensive, the terrain and village are worth every penny. I could get lost on this mountain for days. It has something for everyone, although the more family and beginner friendly runs are much much busier. My favorite chairs are Symphony, Harmony and 7th heaven. They always have some untouched pow on good days and the best tree runs! And nothing beats an apres at Longhorns if you beat the lines.

Im an Ontario snowboarder and went out west for the first time so of course I had to go to Whistler! My first time snowboarding on an actual mountain (as opposed to Ontario ski hills) and it was incredible. There were so many runs to do and lots of blue and green runs that were great for someone like me who has never been on a mountain. The peak to peak gondola was absolutely amazing and I cant wait to go back some day! Talked to so many people on the lifts and in the village and everyone was so nice and welcoming. Lift tickets are definitely expensive but its understandable since you get access to two huge mountains with so many runs.

It was my first time out to BC but have done lots of skiing in Switzerland. Whistler blew my mind! The skiing was fantastic and the energy was unforgettable! I am so happy my friends and I decided to travel there. I would recommend even if you arent skiing or snowboarding to visit and try the viewpoints up the gondola. I did that on my first day for lunch and the views and pictures I got for my social media got a lot of attention and people loved them. I totally recommend checking out the bobsledding too if your into extreme sports or experiences.

Awesome time, well maintained pistes and lifts, accommodation was excellent and close to the slopes. Did a load of the free guided expeditions which were amazing and like nothing Ive done before at a ski resort. Think theyve suspended them since Covid but hope they bring them back!

Really lovely resort, lots of options for drinks and food in town. No apres on the mountain similar to Europe. Lift times are limited with some chair lifts closing at 2pm. Difficulty navigating runs due to limited sign posting. Black runs mostly ungroomed.

Its a great resort with lots of hotels and accommodation options, however they are not cheap. Accommodation for seasonaires is almost impossible, so make sure your work provides it. Bars and restaurants are also good, but can be expensive and you have to tip otherwise they are suggesting you will not get served again. Village is a great size with shops available for last minute purchases. Also not too far from Vancouver if need to get the bus there are options to get there.

Whistler was amazing. The powder after a snow is unreal!! There are plenty of family-friendly runs as well as fun/challenging double blacks for experts. I loved that it was also included in Epic Pass. I would 100% come back.

Whistler Blackcomb is honestly amazing. It is also quite expensive but you do get an expansive terrain for any ski level, great ski instructors and good food options in the village. If you are coming on the weekend, though, be ready to stay in lines for the lift. Or you could be an early-bird and be there before the open time. ;) on snowy days it's absolutely worth it. Whistler is also nice for families. I've spent endless hours going from a playground to the library and to the skating rink with my kid while husband was snowboarding. Next day we just change the roles. Food on the mountain is quite mediocre to taste and definitely overpriced. So, I always pack my own snacks for the day. As for food in the village, there're plenty of options. Some are amazing some are standard.

Whistler is the place to go where everyone in your party can feel like they had the best trip of their life. The mountain itself is incredible, I feel like I didnt even accomplish half the mountain its so big! The adorable town has so many cute shops and delicious restaurants you could spend weeks there. And finally the apres ski is the best Ive ever experienced.

I did my Ski season in Whistler and I absolutely loved it. There are masses of amounts of terrain, available for both skiers and snowboarders at all levels. Ski lifts were run really well and there were plenty of places to eat and drink on the mountain.
