Decent ski resorts, but there are definitely better ones to go to to in the Okanagan area, I loved snowboarding through the tree runs, powder was good and I had a good time. Definitely recommend visiting silver star

So much fun at silver star. If your with family (or not) there is tubing down the slope. The terrain is amazing on the mountain and a ton of variety, from big powder, to technical tree runs, to a sweet terrain park. Tons to do in the village and really nice people all over.

My whole family of 6 love the resort and slopes. The staff are super friendly and helpful. My wife enjoys the little village where she can shop and dine when the hill is closed. We really enjoy how the lift times are short and sometimes nil! The staff taught my two teens, who took off on their own, how to use a T-bar. The ski resort has enough variety for all skill levels, which my family of 6 definitely has. I highly recommend Silverstar Ski Resort for the beginner right up to the experts. I will be surprised if you dont fall in love with this beautiful friendly skill resort.

Ive skied SilverStar for about a month now and is quickly become one of my favourite places in the world
Having only skied Europe before this Canada offers a huge range of activities and different conditions
The tree runs are legendary and groomed runs are varying in terrain and difficulty

The resort looks small but has a great variety of runs from easy blues to seriously challenging double blacks. Few lift queues even at the weekend and especially midweek after 11.30. Even after fresh overnight snow you can find runs virtually empty.
Very snowsure, though top is under 2,000 metres it is away from the coast and the rain which affects Whistler. It often snows a little every day to freshen up the runs. Trees right to the top so visibility is always decent (unlike Big White).
Only an hour from Kelowna airport which is easily accessed from Calgary or Vancouver. Air Canada will carry your skis or board for free plus a boot bag even in economy.
No long lazy lunches here on a sunny terrace, it is all about (good value) skiing or boarding.

Silver star is id say one of the best resorts to snowboard or ski, with the soft and abundant snow you won't be let down. The terrain parks are nothing short of great and the tree runs are fabulous.

Silverstar is great. Tons of options for sraying on the hill which makes up for the drive from van. It can get icy since its the interior but good days are epic. Great village for post skiing, lifts are fast and lines arent that bad. Recently they changed it so night skiing is not included in your day pass which is lame. Huge amount of trails and terrain to explore.

Silverstar is a gem that flies under the radar. With world class terrain and an everyone is welcome but only locals know vibe, youre never in a lift line for more than 15 minutes on the busy days. If you look hard, youll always find fresh lines.

Almost every feature of the terrain park is fabricated in-house to match the mountain and what both new riders and die-hard want to learn and progress.

It boasts a connection to the largest Nordic skiing network in North America, whilst also having access to ice-skating, snowshoeing and fat biking across the resort.

Everybody is greeted with a smile and theres always a seat at the bar to enjoy aprés.

Great skiing and snow but the staff are rude and harassing, and drunk often in the village. No fake snow so some days could be bad but on pow days it's really good

Great variety of terrain for beginners to advanced, new gondola is really cool and theres plenty of places to eat out and have a great time. For a smaller resort, options for accommodations are good too!

Ive skied Silver Star for many years and is never boring. The staff is always amazing. Silver star seems to attract the friendliest clientele.
Good food at all the pubs and restaurants. And even on bad snow years you can still find good snow up there.

Silver Star is a fun resort for our family. As our kids skills develop they have been easily able to progress to more challenging terrain. The front side of Silver Star is mostly long groomers with some off piste. Then you can find some fresh tracks and no crowds over at the Alpine Meadows Chair. Just this season our kids' skills have allowed them to travel over to the backside where we enjoy much more varied terrain, bumps, trees and fast groomers.

We make sure that we visit Silver Star at least a couple times in a season!

Silver star really has it all. Family freindly, nice quaint village, tube park skating rink . Decent condos and hotels. 20 minutes from Vernon , 45 minutes from a major airport. The Bulldog has the best food !! . Front side is the family part of the mountain , some steeps but fun for everyone. Good night sking. Low elevation so not cold. Excellent snow, second only to big white. Not prone to fog as bigwhite is
The back side of the mountain is quite a bit harder , some good serious blacks and doubles
Lots of glades mountain wide.
