Big White Review Summary

Big White attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from families with young children to advanced riders seeking powder and tree runs. The most consistent praise centres on champagne powder snow, minimal lift queues (especially midweek), extensive tree skiing, and a compact, family-friendly village with ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Reviewers frequently mention the resort's suitability for all ability levels, though several note that even green runs can be steep. The most common complaint is poor visibility during storms, earning it the nickname 'Big White-Out' among locals. Some reviews highlight limited nightlife and après-ski options compared to larger resorts, and a few mention higher prices for food and accommodation.

It was my first time going to Big White and I absolutely loved it! With how large the area is, I loved that it was all very accessible to all skill levels and even from the highest point there were green runs to get down for beginners! I already am making plans to go back once or twice next season!

A beautiful resort. Went during Dec 2023, was an unusually dry and warm winter, all resorts in BC suffered. Big white was missing 3 feet of snow when I went so ended up ruining my skis on certain groomed runs with its rocks. Other than that, beautiful runs and views, virtually no lines and definitely check out the bowl.

Big white is a fairly small resort but offers amazing powder skiing with it's "champagne powder" and "snow ghosts". It boasts incredible terrain with an abundance of tree runs.
There are plenty of good groomed runs but due to the amount of snowfall the resort receives these are generally only in good condition early on in the day. The lift system is fairly modern but does suffer from queues, especially on powder days.

I would describe it as a friendly resort with a nice atmosphere, good ski school available and some good food and accommodation options.

One of the best ski resorts yet. Despite being small in size you can never get bored. Learnt how to ski here as a kid and arguably has the best ski school around. Can pick and choose your days with really talented and enthusiastic instructors. It has a great variety of runs from your beginner area directly from the village to you steep double black diamonds.

Bigwhite is a great resort for multiple reasons. With a yougish family, we are able to enjoy almost all of the mountain. Fantastic lifts that are well laid out is a bonus. Bigwhite often has light fluffy "champagne" powder. The grooming is top notch. I really enjoying skiing Bigwhite.

I went a couple times earlier this last year and even with the snow being scarce, it was still a great ride on groomers and out in the trees

Big White is an excellent mountain that has plenty of amazing terrain ranging from beginner level to expert level terrain. Big White has a great restaurants know as the woods, bull wheel, snowshoe sams
And globe also all of the main lifts have a day lodge that has various food items if your a intermediate skier the T-bar is a great zone to ride with options ranging from green to double black runs but my favourite is going into the trees right off the t bar. Big white is over all a great resort and a good place to go for a winter getaway

Big white, located 45 minutes away from Kelowna BC has amazing powder! The mountain is great because there is something for everyone, from green runs, to double black runs, and many efficient chairlifts, the value for money is worth it. The one downfall is the accomodations, being very expensive and limited options. Thankfully it is close to Kelowna! As a intermediate skier, I love the trees skiing and groomed runs. Also love the Telus park where you can find rails, and large jumps.

Big white is what it claims; big and white. The WHOLE hill is rideable. The ghost trees are super fun to weave through, and there is endless powder that takes DAYS to ski out. Tonnes of fun + steep terrain.

Great family resort near Kelowna which is a great destination to visit as well. Great selection of runs and beginner to advanced terrain. Dedicated chairlift for the park and dedicated learning zone area for beginners. The village is cute but very small so it has a handful of cool places to check out but not exactly unlimited options. Overall a great place to spend some time and get out on the snow!
