Big White Review Summary
Big White attracts a wide range of skiers and snowboarders, from families with young children to advanced riders seeking powder and tree runs. The most consistent praise centres on champagne powder snow, minimal lift queues (especially midweek), extensive tree skiing, and a compact, family-friendly village with ski-in/ski-out accommodation. Reviewers frequently mention the resort's suitability for all ability levels, though several note that even green runs can be steep. The most common complaint is poor visibility during storms, earning it the nickname 'Big White-Out' among locals. Some reviews highlight limited nightlife and après-ski options compared to larger resorts, and a few mention higher prices for food and accommodation.

Best food, best food, best snow school with Affordable prices !
Super family friendly hill with great ski school and other fun winter activities. Although not necessarily budget friendly, there is multiple family sized ski in and ski out accommodations that are fantastic!
We usually pack our own food but have ordered Underground Pizza and eaten out in the village a few times which has also been delicious. The Tea Bar Cafe is also great!
Worth the drive and the money it is hands down our favorite vacation!
The only problem is, when it gets really busy their lift system isnt to good, so lines are getting big, especially in the mornings
Not so many double black diamond.
Their terrain park is gorgeous!
Night ski is not bad and not expensive. Big white is great for beginners, intermediate, advance or park lovers. And its view are beautiful! Food is awesome!
Their hotel isn't cheap and always fully booked. Better make a plan early before your trip start.
Good option for hotels but only handful of restaurants. They are all pretty good but selection is limited.
Best place if your group has mixed level of skiing abilities compared to Whistler or Revelstoke
Being a Dad who loves to shred pow (especially tree skiing) I get my full weekly. Big White is known for getting consistent snow all week that adds up to alot over the sesson. The number of pow days I get are incredible.
Now that we are looking for a condo to purchase at Big White, we have discovered that there is a range of options. Starting in the low $200's you can get a nice studio and if course, the sky is the limit for what you want to spend!
Overall I love having Big White as my home hill and can't wait to ski with my kids more and watch them progress... And the ski with my grandchildren!
Caution to beginners/intermediates, some blues are much steeper than others.
A lot of open glades
Grooming is well done
Village has what you need. Difficult to get home by foot after dinner if youre not immediately in the village
