Last time I went was a week ago during pre season and only 3 runs were open, it was super dangerous because there was way to many people. Over 1000 people for 3 runs. Hopefully better when more runs open. Would not recommend pre season weekends.

Well firstly Id like to add that even though I spent my time riding at Lake Louise resort I actually stayed in Banff town, Lake Louise as a resort for snowboarding is perfect, its has a huge choice of runs from mellow learners to experienced double black diamonds all of which are very clearly signed so its unlikely youll end up taking a wrong turn and being on a run youre not ready for, the restaurant and bar at lake Louise is always busy but if you look around youll find a seat and everyone is more than happy to make space to accommodate, food can be pricey but it is good quality especially the coffee and hot chocolate. Where I stayed in Banff about 40 min coach ride away the is covered by your lift pass is a visual heaven, the sights around the town are other worldly epic mountains, Lakes and rivers provide the most beautiful scenes I have ever scene. Banff town is somewhere I felt instantly at home and welcomed and safe, I spent 11 weeks living in Banff and taking my CASI level 1/2 snowboarding instructor course at lake Louise and it was a commute I would happily do over and over, in my opinion lake Louise and Banff are the perfect location for anyones winter holiday, but be warned you may not want to leave.

Lake Louise Ski Resort offers vast terrain with runs for every ability off of every lift. Spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the beautiful Lake Louise across the valley.
With four lodges there is always a great spot to warm up, grab a bite to eat or a cold post-ski beverage!
When you are there take advantage of the FREE ski tours offered by the resorts Ski Friends. The tours, designed to meet all ability levels are a great way to learn about the resort or discover hidden powder pockets!

Lake Louise is a really put together resort. Obviously any lodge is gonna be wild prices for food and Bev, but Louise is a fair price. Accessibility to the hill is very fair.
Only downfall is that lake Louise is on the east side of the Rocky Mountains so it usually gets the last dump of snow over bc (we get less snow) but still get enough for amazing powder days

Overall lake Louise is a must see especially being able to view the fairmont chateau and the lake on the front side of the hill
If you like snowboarding, it is a much better hill than sunshine, as there are very minimal flat spots on the hill.
If you like park you will love it as the jumps are big and a very big variety in features

It has a great variety of runs from fast narrow chutes to wide bowls such as west bowl that leave open powder very well. The length of run is also really good if you want to do top to button runs. The ability to pick from front or back side runs off the 6-pack chair, the peak chair, and the gondola is great. The hill does not accommodate night skiing which is unfortunate given the terrain park residing at the bottom of the hill near the main lodge.

Awesome back-side off piste. Steep, soft. So many faces and angles to find the best conditions any day.

Great ski resort with the best views. I live in Calgary so Im around other resorts often and Louis is easily my favourite.

Wide variety of runs provides the ability to not repeat trails and be able to ski a wide variety of runs and terrain.

Lake Louise is ana amazing Hill with an unbelievably beautiful view - my favourite of any ski hill I've been to. The backside of the main mountain is almost fully off-piste runs, and because of its vastness is able to keep spots of good quality powder for a while after a snow dump. It doesn't have the hardest runs like Revelstoke, but has lots of diverse trails for every interest, I love their glade and mogul options too. Overall, this hill is an excellent all-around vibe, really fun place to be at with great views and plenty of types of hills to try.

Bigger jumps, lots of room on the moutain, ski patrol dosnt hold a speed gun like whistler, so that's good enough for me.

As a beginner the small practice hill helps a lot along side its variety of easy runs. Could be groomed a little better though

One of the best ski resorts in the world for a reason! Lots of variety and areas to help avoid the crowds. Something for every type of skiier.

My one gripe is that the new off piste area is almost always closed since they opened it. Or at least most of the runs have been closed the past couple years. Hopefully that changes with the new chair this year.

With over 4200 acres theres a wide variety of runs varying in difficulty for all skill levels. Chalets/apres are good. A hotel would be great.

Lake Louise Ski Resort is a stunning, world-class destination that offers an incredible skiing and snowboarding experience. Despite these shortcomings, Id highly recommend Lake Louise to anyone looking for an unforgettable alpine adventure. Its a place that will leave you in awe and eager to return, even with its few imperfections.

I love lake, this is where I learnt to board. The hill is awesome, theres so much do to. The downside is you have to drive from where you are staying/get a shuttle if your hotel has a ski shuttle.

This is probably my favourite ski hill to go to, my son and I have a great time every time we go. The more we go the more adventurous we become and start seeing more and more of the hills.

The ski resort recently expanded its operational area to include West Bowl which greatly enhanced its off piste skking terrain. There is now over 4,200 skiable acres and over 165 names runs. The area provides the largest selection of terrain in the area.
The hill is continuously upgrading and providing more lift features, with a new chair being installed this summer.

Lake Louise has by far the best selection and variety of runs in comparison to Nakiska, Norquay, Sunshine and Kicking Horse.

Lake Louise is the crowning jewel of the Canadian Rockies.

when doing a tree line i learnt no
matter what trees youre in, you should 99% stick to the right because for some reason the left line usually ends in a small cliff or creek which involves a lot of hiking back up to get out of trees!! but sick riding at the resort! (learnt from bitter experience haha)
