What Skiers Say About Lake Louise
Lake Louise attracts predominantly intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders who consistently praise the resort's extensive terrain, including back bowls, tree runs, and varied difficulty levels. Reviews frequently mention excellent powder quality, minimal lift queues, spectacular mountain views, and efficient lift systems including recent upgrades. Negative feedback centres on inconsistent snow conditions with runs becoming icy between storms, expensive food and limited dining options, cold temperatures, parking difficulties especially on weekends, and a subdued après-ski atmosphere compared to European resorts. Several users note the resort works well for mixed-ability groups due to its terrain variety.

I wish I could love going to Louise, but as a boarder that doesn't do much park, I feel that I have to end up always going on either larch, or the main green/blue run down the front side. Everything else is ungroomed and can be heavily moguled, which is disappointing because some of the areas at the top of the hill are great on a good day (again rare since it's so dry).
The backbowl is supposed to be amazing, but again it just seems like it's moguled in.
I will say that compared to Sunshine, the mountain makes sense, I don't need to pull a map to know where I'm going to end up, and heavily trafficked runs are nice and wide.
And ofc the views, there's no better views than at Louise - that alone is worth the trip.
Over all an amazing mountain with friendly staff and great conversations everywhere
We will be back 100%
Can be rocky at some points in the season.
Views are great, wide variety of slopes and trails.
Overall a top result for skiing / boarding
