What Skiers Say About Snowbasin
Snowbasin attracts skiers and snowboarders across all ability levels, from beginners using the Earn and Learn programme to experts seeking powder stashes and challenging terrain. The most consistent praise centres on the high-quality lodges, fast and efficient lift systems including gondolas, well-groomed runs, and diverse terrain ranging from wide groomers to steep chutes and tree runs. Reviewers frequently mention minimal lift queues on weekdays, though weekends see heavier crowds particularly since joining the Ikon Pass. Common complaints focus on expensive food and lack of affordable dining options, limited nearby accommodation requiring stays in Ogden, and parking challenges on busy days. Lower elevation compared to other Utah resorts occasionally results in variable snow conditions including rain and fog.

The widely varied terrain is great, and usually lift lines are relatively short once you get away from the base area. Had a recent dump of fresh snow when I was there so conditions were excellent. Snowbasin is a favorite stop when I'm in the area.
Weekday crowds or nonexistent. Plenty of room to spread out the crowds.
The on mountain food and drink options at this resort are better than any other I have been to as well. It is not cheap, but everything we tried was really good.
