What Skiers Say About Brighton Resort

Brighton attracts a wide range of riders from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting it as a locals' resort with a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. The most consistently praised elements are powder quality, tree runs, terrain parks, and night skiing availability. Several users note it feels less crowded than other Utah resorts, though weekend and powder day congestion is mentioned. Parking has become a significant pain point since the introduction of reservations, with many reviewers struggling to secure spots. Food options are limited and overpriced according to multiple reviews, though tailgating in the parking lot is popular. Reviewers appreciate the variety of terrain for all levels and the absence of a luxury resort feel, though some note lift ticket prices have risen significantly.

Really great mountain in many ways. The first is the layout. There are 6 lifts, crest, Millie, explorer, great western, snake creek, and majestic. Crest is the main lift. Access to everything(all the other lifts, parks, groomers, and apres) Millie, great western and snake are more big mountain. All have rocks, steeps, and long runs. Snake is generally the easiest and great western is hardest but all have easy and hard runs. Majestic and explorer and very beginner lifts, with majestic mainly serving the park and easy groomers, while explorer has only short bunny hills for beginners.
The ski school is great aswell. I grew up learning to ski at Brighton and they have thought me all I know today. They have great coaches, that are not afraid to push you to help you succeed. The food/apres are alright. There are 3 dining places at Brighton that all serve generally the same thing. They added the most recent one in 2023-2024. This helped with congestion at the other two but still all of them are crowded and you will probably wait for a seat. Finally the park. The park is amazing. It is very flowy with it being made on a hill. It is also very empty because of this reason. There are three parks to help with skills. The beginner peewee to help introduce to rails, boxes, and jumps, next we have candy land. Candy land generally has more easy and flowy features on the way to majestic park. Finally majestic park. The biggest park with everything. Jumps, boxes, rails, and much more. There is also a jump park called my oh my. This park consists of three huge jumps to practice your biggest tricks. Brighton is overall a great resort and I would recommend it to everyone

The main things I like about Brighton are the tree runs and the night skiing. Its the only one in the Salt Lake City area that does it and its been great whenever Ive gone. There are plenty of tree runs and its great on a powder day. It may not be the biggest resort but it feels like theres quite a bit to explore. Would recommend.

Fun resort, wide variety of terrain and difficulty levels, so even the most experienced or the most beginner riders will have a great time. Typically less crowded than some of the other resorts in the valley, and with a ton of ski lifts to take you all over the resort. Had a wonderful time.

I love Brighton. Its an amazing resort and so much fun. However, planning a weekend trip is a little annoying. Getting up the canyon is a hassle if you want to be there for the first runs and finding parking is really tough. But a wonderful resort and some of the best tree runs I have ever seen.

Brighton is where you go with the homies.

The last remaining bastion of the true heart of a day on the mountain left in Utah. No resorts, no hotels, no overpriced beer, just a place to come ride with your bros and have a good time.

Great terrain parks, not a huge fan of the rest of it. Going off piste over by great western is pretty good too but I'd mostly say only come here if you're a park rat.

Great slope shape, and night skiing if you're brave enough. Learned to ski here and snowboard. Access is decent'ish but the wind are good and fun to be had on all of them.

Grew up skiing at Brighton and have continued to enjoy it as an adult. The mountain offers a wide variety of terrain, with beginner slopes perfect for ski school, groomed runs ranging from blue to black, and some extremely difficult runs and terrain to challenge top-notch skiers and snowboarders.

Its easy to get to from SLC, doesnt have the cost of Park City, Snowbasin, and Deer Valley, and seems less busy and quieter than Alta. And while its still expensive to ski here, I feel like the value for the amount of lifts and runs you can take without sitting in long lines rivals any Utah resort Ive been to.

Brighton is a good family friendly resort. Overall, it leans on the beginner/intermediate terrain. While its advanced and expert terrain is good, its quite limited and can be overcrowded. A large drawback to the resort is its new parking reservations requirement, making skiing unavailable for some. Customer experience isnt the best. I had trouble purchasing tickets and when I called to inquire, the lady on the phone explained it was an unfixed glitch in their website and wasnt very friendly in general. Lift attendants dont pay the most attentionI saw a person fall while unloading at the top of a lift and the lift attendant didnt see it until the next chair was close to approaching. Terrain parks are great, but natural features arent my favorite; they often have very flat landings, as the whole resort isnt very steep compared to other Wasatch resorts in Utah. Lastly, Brighton consistently posts photos and videos of backcountry terrain near the resort on social media. These photos and videos do not contain disclaimers that the locations are out of bounds, causing people to believe its part of the resort. It doesnt help that these videos are always enticing too. I find it strange that Brighton does this when no other resort does this. At the very least Brighton should add a disclaimer stating the locations these pictures and videos were taken are out of bounds.
