What Skiers Say About Brighton Resort

Brighton attracts a wide range of riders from beginners to experts, with many reviewers highlighting it as a locals' resort with a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. The most consistently praised elements are powder quality, tree runs, terrain parks, and night skiing availability. Several users note it feels less crowded than other Utah resorts, though weekend and powder day congestion is mentioned. Parking has become a significant pain point since the introduction of reservations, with many reviewers struggling to secure spots. Food options are limited and overpriced according to multiple reviews, though tailgating in the parking lot is popular. Reviewers appreciate the variety of terrain for all levels and the absence of a luxury resort feel, though some note lift ticket prices have risen significantly.

Brighton has a good variety of terrain. I love the amount of night skiing they offer. I've had a pass there for the past few seasons just so I can go up on a weeknight after work and get a few runs in. Weekdays generally don't have long lines, but weekends and powder days can get crowded and harder to get parking.

Brighton, alongside with Alta, is my favorite Utah ski resort,. Excellent value for the money, fantastic snow (powder), no crowds, good skiers (locals). Only drawback is the apres-ski, Utah is a dry state.

Brighton is a great place for beginner skiers! Super welcoming atmosphere and ton of easy slopes to build confidence. They have a great area of beginner-friendly runs which are super easy to get to with their lifts. Can get busy but when we went, it was an okay size and never got too annoyed with too many people around. Good options to hang out around and relax for a bit with food and drinks. Parking lot is well organized. Probably has some of the better snow in Utah right now!

An awesome mountain that has good vibes. The lodge options could be a little better but this is one of my favorite mountains. Absolutely nothing beats the night skiing either.

Brighton is hands down the best Utah mountain for learners. They have discounts for beginner skiers and my girlfriend loved the green runs at Brighton.

Suprised that there was absolutely no grooming operations done at brighton when I skiied here. Snow quality was good however the fresh snow was tracked out halfway through the day and made for some bumpy terrain.

Brighton was a fun spot to visit, the food wasnt the best quality for how much you got but was better then some of the other spots in Utah. As a fairly new snowboarder I thought that the bunny run that they had was a good spot to learn however I wish it was a bit larger. After moving away from the bunny runs onto some harder areas the lifts were a struggle to get off of. Im not sure if that was just the day that I went or what but it was a struggle. As far as the actual runs go I had a blast. Easy to go a bit slower or fly through if youve got the skill. I will go back because its one of my favorite spots that Ive been to so far.

Fantastic beginner mountain. Good school for kids and great for anyone starting out. Utah has the best snow on earth, as always, and even in poor years, Brighton is no exception.

Easy to get to from SLC and enough accommodations nearby. Most skiiers are pretty friendly and courteous, too. Overall a great family resort and would recommend.

If you like a smaller resort with more of a local community, then I think Brighton is a top choice. Brighton is known for getting the most snow out of the other resorts surrounding it. I think they got ~800 inches of snow in the 2022-23 season which is insane. Their park is great, you could ski/board from the top of the mountain to the base with it all being park. There is also a lot of great terrain within the trees and also some sick cliff drops right under the Crest 6 ski lift. Not a lot of accommodation compared to places like Park City, would probably have to find a spot outside the canyon. Parking can be one hell of a journey if you dont like getting up early, so be sure to make a reservation a few days prior.

Probably the most relaxed and home town feeling of any of the popular resorts in Utah. A lot of fun terrain parks features and they constantly switch the park up so theres always something new to check out. Later season has some amazing powder runs and some of the best cliffs in the area.

Theyve got some awesome lifts that take you on some pretty fun parts of the mountain. Mostly just wish it was a bit bigger and steeper. The management itself and culture is great tho.

I love Brighton. First off, nowhere has better tree riding. Second, practically the whole mountain is open for night riding now, and lighting is good enough to hit some of those tree runs if youre smart about it. Third, if youre a park rat its the best spot in Utah.

Lastly, the magic of the Canyons is you can stay in SLC and have access to a major city while still being close to the resort. Would give ten starts if I could.

First of, Alta is huge and is really great if youre looking to get off run it generally has some unmarked runs which are great to feel like youre really out there. I think since the last time Ive been they have a reservation system for parking so thats a positive. Its honestly surreal to ski there, some of the best views out of any resort in UT.

Brighton is extremely fun. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare, but you are able to reserve parking. They have amazing tree runs and super fun parks hidden within the trees. Highly recommend a visit.
