What Skiers Say About Blue Mountain Resort
Blue Mountain is Ontario's largest ski resort, located within two hours of Toronto, and attracts a wide mix of families, beginners, and intermediate skiers alongside some advanced riders. Reviews consistently mention efficient lifts, well-groomed runs, and a lively village atmosphere with dining, shopping, and après options. However, the resort faces recurring criticism for weekend crowds leading to long lift lines, frequently icy conditions rather than powder, and high prices for tickets, food, and accommodation relative to the terrain offered. Advanced and expert skiers note the limited vertical drop and short runs compared to true mountain resorts, though many acknowledge it as the best option in southern Ontario. Several users mention good snowmaking infrastructure but warn that conditions deteriorate quickly under heavy use.

The village is also a really cool spot to check out
I also love the parking spots that are right at the bottom of some runs. When you finish up, you could just straight ski to your car.
It is however, a little far for people in the Greater Toronto Area.
Some slopes can get a bit icy (Ontario weather) so be cautious of that. We are looking forward to all the improvements they have made for this year! They have put a lot of time, energy, and money into making sure you get the most out of the season!
We were lucky that the 2024-2025 season was very cold and they had plenty of snow. They do have late night skiing which was fun. Value for money is quite good compared to other ski locations in Canada. The village gets very busy at the weekends because of all the visitors from GTA
