Beauty gem, great snow and a fairly quiet resort with an awesome vibe. This resort is all about the skiing and is unpretentious. I visit every year.

Great runs in the east coast with fast lifts making it easy to put in a lot of laps. They have 3 large chalets to get ready in all with food on weekends

My husband and I visited here between Christmas and new years. The runs were nice and long and it was not busy at all. We were able to board right onto the chair lift. Would definitely go back. There is a Main Street about 20 min walk from the hills (Washington street) that has tons of bars and restaurants.

We stay at the holiday inn with a family and love the experience we have. The ski hill is great for the kids and the lessons are amazing and includes lunch. The restaurant there is great and there are many good opthons in town. The pool and hot tub are a great spot for after skiing we enjoy as a family. Going back again this year.

I went for a night ski with my friends and was really surprised at how good the conditions were. The slopes were very fun and I loved how there were short trails off of greens that would go in and out of the forest to add more fun!

Lovely family resort. Perfect for beginners and people with young children. Quaint town. Quiet. I've been taking my family there for 14 years, and we always enjoy it.

For a relatively smaller hill compared to Quebec and Vermont, it boasts a good number of runs to explore. You could do a full weekend of skiing and be far from bored. Great local hill, but chalet food price is a little steep.

More quieter than blue mountain. About the same size. Very quiet if you go during the weekday. Lots of hills to go on and a great tree run. Village is nice to walk around in and a good variety of ski wear and restaurants.

Holiday Valley is a great little resort in Western New York. Early season, they have been making snow and grooming - not all runs are open yet. Most runs are a couple minutes long from top to bottom, and there are runs to suit every level. What make HV special is the way they have carved the runs through the hillside forest - it is quite pretty and scenic. They have three different access points with parking lots, the main entry has the most parking. Lots of indoor picnic space where you can pretty safely leave stuff - you can even plug in your own crockpot if you want. If you want to buy lunch, they have cafeterias where you can buy fries, burgers, pizza etc. There are a couple bars where you can get a drink, prices are about average for a ski resort.

Holiday Valley is a great family friendly resort and for all skier and boarder levels! The landscape is beautiful and we especially love all of the runs through the beautiful trees. They also have a lot of events, great drinks and food. Aside from the great selection of runs, the resort is also very close to the quaint down town of Ellicottville. Here you can find great restaurants and little shops. We just love Holiday Valley and will be back soon.

Holiday Valley is a great family resort, with a variety of runs for all levels of riders. The staff are friendly and attentive all around the resort. You can bring your own food into the lodges - there are many tables where you can sit to eat. There are places to leave your things while you are on the hills, and in my years of experience, I have never had anything stolen. There are some cafeterias in the lodges as well if you want to buy food.

The resort can be very busy on weekends, with long lift lines, and the runs totally covered with people. If you want fresh pow, then be sure to be there early in the morning, the trails can get tramped pretty quickly with the volume of people there on weekends. There are two terrain parks, both are pretty basic and could benefit from more attention.

My favorite small resort in the Northeast. The tree lined runs like Crystal, Mistletoe, and Ballet are perfect. The lift system keeps being improved year after year. Also the ski school is absolutely phenomenal and employ men and women who have skied and coached skiing for decades. This resort is where I learned to ski and still frequent. It will always hold a place in my heart and I still refer to it as my home mountain.

Such a great resort. Well laid out ski resort with something for everyone. It doesn't matter your skiing ability as everyone can get everywhere at any time. As always I can hardly wait until I'm skiing there again.
