What Skiers Say About Holiday Valley

Holiday Valley attracts predominantly intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders, many from Canada and Western New York, who value it as a reliable local option. Reviewers consistently praise efficient lift systems, minimal wait times, well-groomed runs, and tree-lined trails that add scenic variety. The resort is frequently described as family-friendly with a strong ski school. Snow conditions benefit from extensive snowmaking, though natural snowfall is limited. Weekends can be crowded with heavily tracked runs, while weekdays are quieter. Food prices at the resort are commonly cited as expensive, though the town of Ellicottville offers additional dining and shopping options.

Great resort. Always a fun time. Ive been out of state for a few years but I used to go here every year with my family. I feel like they have a little for everyone. Staff is friendly and it will be a great experience for anyone of any age.

A great resort for the area that makes the most of the entire mountain and limited season and truly stretches it out to give riders the best possible season regardless of the elements. The lifts move quickly and the lines are usually short so living in the WNY area and being a skier/boarder this is the place to go. Oh and the night skiing option is amazing

Holiday valley is an excellent ski resort and I would definitely reccomend it. Lift tickets are fairly priced as well as the food (which was pretty delicious). As for the skiing itself, the lifts are incredibly efficient, the parks are very good, the groomed runs are very nicely put together and interesting to ski, they also have many fun things to do on the trails like playgrounds, side hits, mini shacks and more. Overall I would reccomend to any family with a diverse group of skiers.

This is my home resort! As for western New York, this is as good as youre going to get. Dont come here for powder, backcountry, etc. its going to get the job done and thats it! I love the park bc I grew up here and this is where I learned everything Im able to do. Plenty of broken bones is the park at HV but none the less, HV has something for everyone. I can talk bad about it all day but I love it. Its HOME

Ive been skiing at Holiday Valley for 6 years now, even though the area doesnt get much snow these days, the snowmaking team seems to always make it work to where the snow conditions are not just skiable but enjoyable.I Believe Holiday Valley is the best resort in the area. There is a wide range of terrain from very easy and flatter to strenuous and steep.
