Greek Peak in New York is a premier ski resort in the Finger Lakes region, offering a range of activities beyond skiing. The resort features slopes for all skill levels, with excellent facilities for beginners and families. Greek Peak is known for its well-groomed trails and efficient lift system. The resort's Adventure Center adds to the winter fun with snow tubing and a mountain coaster. Greek Peak's Hope Lake Lodge provides luxurious accommodations and a spa, perfect for relaxation. The resort also features an indoor waterpark, making it a popular year-round destination. Greek Peak's commitment to guest experience and family-friendly environment makes it a standout choice for a winter getaway.

The runs are named after Greek gods! The restaurant is called a taverna! And otherwise, well, it's like any other mid-sized resort in New York state, meaning they could use more snow. But hey, it's all good. My son and I enjoyed a lovely day at Greek Peak, despite me slipping on the ice off the main chairlift. Next time we'll visit after a blizzard.

I hope Greek Peak lasts. The new party deck is a welcome addition, but otherwise the lodge and lifts could use a makeover. The resort is just south of Syracuse, NY, which should (and I trust) provide it with a steady stream of snowsports enthusiasts. But heavens, global climate change is doing a number on all of the eastern U.S. resorts south of Interstate 90. And probably north of that highway, too. We need cold winters, people. Somebody bring in the cold.
