The runs are named after Greek gods! The restaurant is called a taverna! And otherwise, well, it's like any other mid-sized resort in New York state, meaning they could use more snow. But hey, it's all good. My son and I enjoyed a lovely day at Greek Peak, despite me slipping on the ice off the main chairlift. Next time we'll visit after a blizzard. I hope Greek Peak lasts. The new party deck is a welcome addition, but otherwise the lodge and lifts could use a makeover. The resort is just south of Syracuse, NY, which should (and I trust) provide it with a steady stream of snowsports enthusiasts. But heavens, global climate change is doing a number on all of the eastern U.S. resorts south of Interstate 90. And probably north of that highway, too. We need cold winters, people. Somebody bring in the cold.

Great trails, from easy to expert, lots of glades when the natural snow allows. Lots of options for dining

the resort is small but packs a punch, they do a very good job at getting snow down. the food is very good, pricey but good, and the skiing is overall pretty solid

Greek Peak is a large for the area, but compared to any more well known mountains. They have a decent network of trails, and plenty of unofficial paths to explore. The parks are usually well kept, and the larger ones punch above the mountains weight class when they're set up. Natural snow is unreliable, but the majority of groomed terrain has enough snowmaking to ride out lulls in snowfall. Overall, Greek Peak is a good local mountain, though it is overpriced when considering the $800 season pass.
